Fred, I did not get the halo painted but that would have looked really nice. I wanted to be able to return the car to original easily. All I would have to do is buy the A Pillar trim from Chevy and change things back. I agree the black really looks good on yellow. I'm subscribed to this thread so add some pictures of your car when you get it. Good luck.
people are wrapping the halo which solves the problem. I plan on that. Might do the whole arc project as a wrap if I get a white or silver C7...

nut/bolt vs. rivets
Just finished wrapping the pillar with C.F. Vinyl, and converting the rivets to screws..
pix... use a 1/4" drill bit to remove the rivets...be careful you don't slip and gouge the paint. Fasteners are stainless steel to match and avoid corrosion issues over time. Rivets left in some photos to show both fastener ideas.
