Or it's a microprocessor glitch where it thinks the engine is running so it stops cranking, then sees it's not running, tries to start again. Retry scenario.
The dealership wants to take possession of my car for as long as it takes to find the problem. I have a problem handing the keys to my car over for as long as it takes
It's under warranty, you'll get a loaner. What's the problem? Let them have it and fix it. Those clips clearly show there is a problem that you captured. The dealership will have way more diagnostic tools and answers than this forum will.
Maddening problem.....completely random. This weekend I experienced the worst stumbling start when the car was cold, in the garage, getting ready for some errands. I’ve been recording every time I start the car, but wasn’t ready this time. Making arrangements to get the car to the dealership for what they discribe as “leave it with us for as long as it takes”. GM support is aware, my fear is it is so obscure/random they can’t resolve it. Makes me want to turn it in for another car. Problem could be anywhere, wire harness, ECM, and they wont just start replacing components.

coach keep us posted . by the bye what year is your C7?
It would best to leave it and document. Here’s to hoping they can find the culprit
Here you go....latest update. Dealership had the car for 2 days and experienced it first hand a couple times. They couldn’t identify what was causing it. I threw in a towel with the dealership’s general manager. He offered me a chance to exchange the car for a identical one. It cost me $900......well worth it to me. It is now someone else’s problem. My car had 1200 miles on it, the new one 4. They will eventually resolve the issue, but who knows how long. It maybe my imagination but this one seem to spin twice as fast on start-up.

Why did it cost you $900? I’d think they could find a way to make that right. Good that they stepped up though for sure. Congrats man.
The $900 sounds a little much to me, but on second thought -- WTF -- good move, let somebody else deal with it; I would have done the same thing. At least the dealer stepped up. There are so many horror stories on here of dealers telling owners to blow smoke, you bought it, it's under warranty, file a lemon law claim yada-yada. Enjoy your new one with open roads and many sunshine days to you.
I hold my breath when I push the start button on the new car .....PTSD??? . I think what helped to pull this off was that GM has offered some incentives to move the corvette inventory. I am determined to salvage this decision to buy another corvette a good one.

I can't believe they exchanged the car for a new one, never heard of this being done before, I think the 900 is worth it if the exchange is brand spanking new!
Yeah $900 for a do-over is a deal. You could had done much worse. Probably some bad connector or bad chip buried somewhere in the car. Needle in a haystack. The dealer did well for you on that one. Who was the dealer BTW?
"$900.00" is a car payment to most of the ballers here that finance with zero down car loans. Or, chump change to the true high rollers here that pay cash for their new C7s.. You're a lucky man! Mazeltov!!

Yeah, why pay for the asset when you can risk being on the hook for the balance due when your financial life goes down the cr@pper.

Great thinking!
But if u are a high roller that should not be a worry ....
Look, I personally don't care what you do but I do take offence to the comment about "$900 is a lot to the Ballers on here that finance with Zero Down " or "Chump Change to the true high rollers "
What the heck does this thread have to do with how the car was paid for and who cares if its financed....
And .... any money manager worth his salt will tell you dont pay cash ....lol lol

Especially for younger folks. Put charges on a credit cad, pay the minimum and buy more "stuff!" Keeps the economy going as they have to go to work, perhaps with two jobs, to pay them off. Lets banks make lots of money with the crazy way they can calculate what you have as equity until that last payment is made! Miss one and they are super happy!

Was in a line to return something at a big box store with two ~35 year folks in front who going to pay on one of their mothers account. One said, "She always wants me to pay off the full amount. Keep telling her she only needs to pay the minimum." Yep great way to manager your money!
