- 2017 Z51 M7 has no AFM valves vs previous years
- 2017 Z51 has extra cooling vs previous years
- 2017 Z51 have better front rotors and do not need the rotor cooling rings
- M7 doesn't have A8 issues
- Z51 or Base doesn't have GS bent wheel issues
- 1LT and 2LT has no leather dash separation issues
- Haven't heard of torque tube or screen issue in 2017
- 2017 Z51 has extra cooling vs previous years
- 2017 Z51 have better front rotors and do not need the rotor cooling rings
- M7 doesn't have A8 issues
- Z51 or Base doesn't have GS bent wheel issues
- 1LT and 2LT has no leather dash separation issues

These kind of simple/compartmentalized/not hardware dependant software changes should be possible using over-the-air/on-board wifi capability ala Tesla-style.

And I know this isn't at the request of the OP, but in 2018 was the exclusive introduction of gloss carbon fiber interior. I don't think it was offered for any other model at the time other than the Carbon 65. That add-on was expanded to all models for 2019 but only for the 3LT trim.

2. They do not have "better" rotors. GM went cheap and went back to a 1-piece cast rotor vs. the 2-part cast rotor with cooling rings. I tracked my car hard all last year on the OEM 2-part rotors sans rings w/o any issues. I have been utterly impressed with the rotors vs. what I was used to in C5 days.

You may be right on that. I had forgot the secondary laydown radiator was on GS/Z51s too.

The 2014 oem axles have a different part number, and my Hollander interchange software does NOT show them to fit newer applications-- it shows 2014 only.
I assumed this was because 2014 uses the A6 and 2015 and newer uses the A8, but this may not be accurate?!?
I called DSS today and spoke with them about their aftermarket upgraded axle shafts, and they confirmed that ALL 2014 & newer C7's (base, z51, z06, auto and manual) use their same part number aftermarket axles.

MRC Update
"Do the 2017-2018 cars including the GS already have the enhanced calibrations or will they be a part of a future update?
- Model year 2017 MRC vehicles were the same as 2016 with the exception of the Grand Sports which did reflect a partial representation of the revised tuning philosophy.
- Also included for 2017 production was a new Track calibration for Z06/Z07 (minus the temperature compensation as discussed below).
- As I stated above, all 21 2019 production including Chevrolet performance calibrations were completed in September, 2017. This was approximately 8 months after the 2018 calibrations were released for production.
- When we hit our 2018 production release dates, the progress I made thus far was released for 2018 production in Tour and Sport for: Z51, Grand Sport Base, Grand Sport w/Z07, Z06 Base, and Z06/Z07.
- So yes, Chevrolet Performance will be offering new calibrations for all 2017 and 2018 MRC equipped vehicles including Grand Sport, expect to see the remaining models released in Q1 2018."
