I would normally say that whitewall tires on a Corvette is a sacrilege..........but they really rock on this C3. Well done!!

Thank you Mike for your setting me up with my grand sport (that's me taking delivery at the museum)!
The delivery staff at the museum was great! we had a very nice long tour with plenty of behind the scenes access (we were there from 7:45 till 2pm). Although the first 500 miles of my drive back to Florida was in heavy traffic and rain (helped with varying the speed), once I hit 500 mile and the car gave me access to all the power the skies cleared and so did the traffic so the rest of the ride was fun!

This is my first new corvette, but my 3rd overall (90 ZR1, 2001 C5).

68 through 72 are my favorite classic vettes.
Mike this is my favorite ( and apparently I'm not the only one here):

I had this exact car back when I was about 25, 427, factory side pipes, 4spd, warbonnet yellow:

The car had been painted about 10 times over but it was silver when I got it. I didnt know the side pipes were factory until I pulled them off and had a new exhaust system fabricated. I ended up selling the pipes to a guy who was doing a restoration and at the time reproductions were not available so he was one happy camper. I started to do my repaint when I found that the paint was flaking off and after a while I found that all of the layers down to the original factory paint could be peeled back with a razor blade, I stripped the whole car right back to the original warbonnet yellow paint by had with a razor-blade and I was able to polish the car to an almost new shine! Unfortunately there were a couple of areas that had been repaired from minor damage so the original paint had a couple of primer patches. I ended up painting the car black and it turned out gorgeous! I sold that car and made enough money to put a down payment on my first house.
