Well I finally have my car back. The body shop did a great job and you can barely tell anything happened. However, now there is another issue that I wanted to see if anyone has experienced.

Driving down the road with the cruise set or with my foot on the gas pedal you can see the tach jumping about 100-200 rpms and you can feel periodically the car jolt or bump from time to time. No CEL or codes that I am aware of but it is noticeably there and concerning to say the least.

Going to take the car in on Monday to the local dealer to have them look at it but was curious if anyone has witnessed this in their own car. I was told that the computer was clear of codes and no issues when I picked the car up. Does the computer need to be reset or something I am missing?

Also the diminished value claim was filed so we wait on that as well.

Thanks for any replies.

You have the A8 shutter. That is exactly what happened to my car. The new transmission fluid flush fixed it.

Reminds me of mine, same color, lol.I have a 14 C7 base.Hydroplaned on I-95 north in sc.Anyway the body shop says around $18K.Insurance company is going to fix it.No frame damage. So being yours is newer it’s worth more and being it’s a grand sport it’s worth even more.I believe it’ll be fixed.

Had the same "shudder" problem. Fluid replaced last fall, has not reoccurred. There is an "updated" fluid from since mine was done.

What shop repaired your car? Where in the "Houston area" are you?

I’m in Mont Belvieu. Collision Craftsmen fixed my car.

Frede Chevrolet in Clear Lake (suburb SE of downtown Houston) did the trans flush

I live 2 miles from them.

Had the transmission issues fixed, or so we thought. They started back up again today. I do think it was more than the shudder issue. I just didn't trust that car anymore and didn't want a problem...

So I did the only thing I could think of. I dumped the car today. Picked up a 2019 ZR1..

Nice OP. I don't blame you. I would not want a wrecked new car.

It don’t make any difference that it wasn’t your fault. When you sell it be prepared to take a $5,000- $10,000 hit.Especially if
you go through a dealer.Carfax can be your enemy.

I knew that going in. The dealer was aware of the accident and worked with my on the numbers. I was very pleased with the deal they made me on that car and in turn on buying this one.
