What are the thoughts on this? Lady hit me coming around a corner into my lane. No airbags, just lots of damage. 2018 Grand Sport with Z07 package and 3200 miles on it.

Anything can be fixed. You have fairly significant damage but should not be totaled. It’s probably not as bad as it looks especially since the airbags did not go off. Sorry this happened to you...

From your photos I'd say it most certainly can be fixed. That's really not a lot of damage.... have seen far worse.

I am sure they will want to fix it but we will find out more info tomorrow when I meet with the insurance adjuster. Anything I need to be looking for when discussing this mess?

The part that sucks is that I had already worked a sweet deal and was on my way to trade it in on a 2019 Ceramic Matrix Gray Z06 that I found. So I had to call them and put that on hold.

I am worried about diminished value now and how to go about dealing with that.

Yep, can be repaired however won't be cheap. Could have been much-much worst. Consider yourself fortunate whenever you walk away from an accident unscathed.

Yes, no problem. Your C7's diminished value on Carfax is what's going to cost you.

This is why I quit riding motorcycles. Did you ask her what the hell was she doing when she ran into you? Crazy

Assuming it's all cosmetic it's not that bad. If it wasn't your fault hopefully you have a police report stating such. That way her insurance has to cover it. And yours shouldn't go up.

It was not my fault. I was in my lane actually sitting still and getting ready to turn when she cut the corner and ran into me. She was not paying attention at all. I tried to reverse but there wasn't time.
I am going to discuss diminished value with the adjuster tomorrow.
I know I am fortunate to have walked away as we are from any accident but still it irritates me that people do not pay attention. Also she was in a brand new (paper tag) SUV herself with kids in the back seat.
She was ticketed and the police report will say it was her fault. I am going after everything I can get on this one.

I will be getting rid of it since I never keep one after an accident. This makes two vehicles in a few years that I've been hit in and it wasn't my fault. I need to get a bicycle I guess. LOL

She was probably distracted by either the kids, her cell phone, or both. I drive alot for work... over 1k miles a week and its amazing how little people pay attention when they are driving.

I would sell it as well. See if that dealer you were working with on a trade-in will still take it...for a lesser amount. They need to move that 2019 you are looking at so they might work with you, maybe.

Thats nit that bad and not that much damage, and yes it can and will be fixed. A good bodyman will do it where you can never tell. Once you have a good bodyman it is like a dr or lawyer...you stay with them. I have had the samebodyman for over 30 yrs.

Without knowing the state of the underlying structure, I would say that this looks easily fixable. Probably a matter of replacing body panels and repainting.

That the air bags didn't deploy suggests it was not a huge hit.

Good luck.

I regret to say that my family has its own preferred body shop.

I am going to talk to them after I know the repairs and diminished value that way I can get everything covered on the trade. They offered me a nice amount for this car after working on them for 3 days and they came down on their car significantly. So I will need to make up the difference and I am going to have her insurance take care of that part.

Sounds like a good plan. Best of luck.

Oh man, that sucks. From what can be seen in the the photos, it looks like its limited to a hood, bumper, grill and maybe a quarter panel.

wow. I'm sorry to see this. Sounds like you weren't hurt. So that's good. I'm not a body shop guy but based on my limited experience I'd say it can be repaired and no one will likely even be able to notice the difference. Shops can do great work.
