As a test, I set my DIC to INFO - tire pressure and when I turned off the engine I got the 'start engine to view' message but no chimes when I exited the car. '17 GS.

Ahhh, subliminal marketing ... baked into the C7’s last year. Clever GM.

This is what I did. I noticed the mystery chime every time after having previously used the PDR. Once I cleared the videos off the SD card, the chime never happened. The next time I ran a PDR session and turned the car off it came back the next time I drove it. I think it's the system reminding me that I have videos stored on the SD card. Not sure why there is no visual message to go with it.

Thanks for idea. My car is new. Never used PDR.
Checked PDR settings just now: No SD card inserted.

My 19 chimes and I’m thinking it’s the WiFi connecting/disconnecting (not paying for it still on free year).

Yes, it says start engine to view application, but my phone is not plugged in. Only bluetooth.

Maybe that’s it. Wish I could turn it off.
