I now go to see many friends I have made over the years at Bloomington learning and then judging Corvettes. Have been going since 1983 at it many locations. It may have lost some its luster but depending on the weather where else in the mid-west can you see every year corvette 1953 to 2019 in one place. Plus some of the finest examples of those years. For some it is a great history lesson, other its seeing friends and for others it just see several thousand Corvettes in one place.

I agree - I went last year too and was disappointed overall. I'm still on the fence as to whether I want to make a seven hour drive one way to not see much.
I will be in Chicago and will likely head down for Friday and Saturday in an econobox rental. Friends to see, not-so-shiny parts to look at. No interest from my club this year as we did the trip on 2017 and 2018. The Grand Sports on the plaza last year was nice. Am curious about the Camaro impact.

7 hours!? I wouldn't drive that. Save money and time to go to Carlisle!

I'll be there with my 2014 Z51 A6 3lt 'vert and a few C3 parts I'd like to unload. I'll be staying at my friend's house a few blocks away from the track. He has a '69 Camaro with a SB 427 4 speed that he auto crosses. So now we have a dilemma on which car to bring.
I'm coming in on Saturday morning from Chicago. Will walk the show visit with Mike Yeager and do the road tour then head back. This will be my 29th year at the show and i'm very upset about the whole Camaro thing.
