I keep wondering if this upgrade would be worth doing on my 2018 Z06 without Z07 package. Says it's improved but not as drastic as 16-17.

I have a friend with a 2016 FE2 car and he had the MRC upgrade done last winter. I can attest that it made a big difference in his car like it did for my 2017 GS.

That's a great point! Look for discounts from your Chevy dealer. Via US Mail, and or emails. 👍

Unless I'm mistaken, your 2018 either has the upgrade or it doesn't--early car no, late build yes. You can check the upgrade calibration/part number and compare it to what is currently installed in your car. This link will reveal the latter:

VIN > "Get Cal ID" > K19 > Next > Programming >
Next > Normal > Next > With Semi Active... > Next > Real Time Damping > Next > Desc: Real Time Damping.

I did this, and don't know what I'm looking at. I'm going to guess my recently purchased 2016 hasn't had this done, but what verifies that?

So does that mean I have it, or it's available?

It was available about a year ago so I assume it still is today. See bottom chart for 2016 FE2 (base), FE4 (Z51), or FE6 (Z06). It dates back to 03/2018 so the calibration numbers may be obsolete by now, although I doubt it, and the GS doesn't show up because at that time the GS upgrade wasn't available. The top chart is the TIS report for my car (2017 GS) showing the upgrade that was done 05/2018.

FWIW to GS owners, my old calibration was 84136537, which should be the same for all 2017-18 GSs without the upgrade. Late 2018 and 2019 GSs should show the new cal (84421869). I don't know the cutoff date on 2018s.

I don't see your current calibration (23508117) on the list so I assume your car hasn't been upgraded.

Thanks, went through the process and came up with these numbers, Now I gotta figure out what the updated ones would be.

Yep, just bring in that sheet. My dealer service manager said their cost was $280. Not much for the dealer to do except plug the car in and wait!

Well worth the cost to me. I can drive in Sport 95% of the time, which was to harsh before. Worse than my Non MRC C7 Z51. Now about the same ride and I get all the other throttle, nannie threshold benefits I had before driving in Track.

Your Z51 car will have the FE4 suspension and not the FE2 suspension.

Take it to another dealer.

I had my base Stingray FE2 suspension upgrade done June 2018.

There is a bulletin quoted here in the forums. One of my local dealers wanted $125 above the software charge, and the other dealer closest to me was clueless, not even returning my calls, UNTIL I contacted Chevrolet Performance!! They went ahead and contacted both dealers, and schooled them on the procedure! A big thanks to them. I have an appointment tomorrow to get my 2017 Grand Sport upgraded, and I am very grateful for their attention to my problem.
