Default Need help please

I just installed my new dash panel and after install (all wires are connected properly and install is correct) my check engine light is on. Any help?

I don't have a tool to pull the code. The only thing I can think is I had to unplug the start button maybe disconnect the battery and reconnect?

Most auto part places will do it free. You can buy a code reader for less than $30.

Clear the code with a scanner. Their is a chance it won’t return.
