If it's not engine related I wouldn't touch it. If it is just reconnect the accelerator pedal like it was originally and leave everything else in place.
Yes.
Part-wise (controller to controller), very similar. We offer a wider variety of settings.
Price-wise (dollar for dollar), we offer a modified throttle body plus the controller, a much better/complete solution to the whole throttle delay and power delivery issue.
Warranty-wise, it is completely under your control. Haven't heard of a single case with our products or any similar one for that matter.
Hi Mike, 2 questions.... I have Sprint Booster on my 2019 M7 Stingray.
Would you say that the Soler TC is a better unit, or are they about the same?
Also, could I combine the Soler TB with my Sprint Booster, would they work together just like the Soler TC and TB?
P.S. I've been quite happy with Sprint Booster on this and previous cars (Challenger, BRZ, Porsche, BMW), albeit, it does cost about $300.
Fwiw you're talking 75.00 difference on a 100,000 dollar car to have 2 parts that are matched and made for each other. It's a no brainer. Of course you can buy the tb and it should work fine with the controller you have. Try that first but you'll always wonder if you should have gotten the Soler controller. For 75 bucks it was an easy choice for me.
Wow! Glad I decided to check the forum before I pulled the trigger on a Sprint Booster or Pedal Commander. It's a no brainier to purchase this item from Mike, I have already purchased the TB from him and should be able to install it over New Year's. Just ordered the TC from his company today!
I got mine installed a couple of days ago and wow, the best way for me to describe it is it makes the car feel quick and nimble (and it absolutely felt bogged down or unresponsive in comparison prior to installing it). I also installed the Soler TB last week and it definitely helped on its own but this TC really capped off what feels like a real transformation.
For what its worth, I don't know where the final destination will be for the TC display yet but for now this is where I have it (using a small piece of velcro). I knew that I was going to the dealership so I wanted to be able to conceal it and I just dropped the display and cable right behind the carpet when I dropped it off (2nd pic).
Can anyone elaborate on how you set the numbers, install seems easy enough but getting the right setup is still an unknown to me.
For what it’s worth this sounds like a pound for pound knockout kod
I think it is a knockout also. The settings are very easy, just use the Mode button to choose the mode you want (see below). Once you choose the mode, use the + and - buttons to choose levels within that mode. 1 is the mildest and just press the + button to increment that number from there to get an increased throttle sensitivity. For example, I started with mode SP, level 1 (SP.1 on the display) and liked that and if I want more throttle sensitivity just would press +, test drive and repeat until finding the level I like best.
Eco = EC
Nor = OE (Original Equipment)
P1= CF (Comfort)
P2 = SP (Sport)
P3 = LU (Ludicrous)
I bought the TB first and it alone made a difference, I was ready to pull the plug on the Power Commander but seen Mike had a TC for sale. I would have paid double for Mike's TC as the quality is superb! For $75.00 I thought what do I have to lose? After purchasing the TC it made a world of difference! Here is a pic of my installation.Can't go wrong with Mike's products!

Worth every bit of $90! Some of us just got a bargain at $75. The TB and TC from Mike are a great combo and will surely wake up your Corvette. Too bad someone or ones thought the C7 should have the feel of a Malibu when accelerating from a dead stop. Now acceleration in my GS feels more linear, like my previous C6Z.
Forgive me for my lack of knowledge..... does the TC only increase the TB position in relation to the pedal position or does it increase “speed” of the TB opening “and” the amount that it opens in relation to the pedal position? I am looking at the Sprint Booster as well and it claims to open “quicker” than OEM. I don’t see a graph showing the response speed, only the % opening with the TC vs OEM.

Great question. The speed of the moving parts of the TB depends on their inertia, friction coefficient, electric motor voltage and duty cycle. The ECM is in between the pedal (or TC) and the TB, and at its maximum it provides the TB motor with 12V and 100% duty cycle. Those values set the maximum speed at which the TB will open with or without a controller.
We can only speak for our product, if there are claims by other vendors that the TB can move faster than this, they need to be better substantiated. It would be very interesting to say the least.

see post #21. I think that will explain a lot for you. I have the TC and really love the better response of the pedal.
