I would probably call in that situation. Perhaps since you already have the 2019 version and when you enter your VIN, it knows you already have the 2019 version, it approves the 2020 version. Either way, I think I would call them. Maybe you can even talk them in to giving it to you free since you paid for the earlier one.

Ok - 2020.

At first, I was against getting the update.

However, upon further thought, I am now 90% leaning toward purchasing it.

The offer is good until December 31, so I've got time to finalize my decision!

I bought it.

Arrived yesterday.

Will install when the temps get above 40 degrees, so I can drive while it loads (those of you who have installed it said that you don't have to let your car sit for the entire 30-50 minutes, right?).

instructions say "DO NOT MOVE" ... I sat in the car for 50 minutes that it took and re-read the manual... quality time indeed... you takes your chances if you go riding while down loading... my 2 cents.... CJ

I have done it both ways. The first time I drove the car while it was updating. When it finished my Nav didn't work right for a day or so and then it settled in and worked as advertised. On this newest update I just let the car set in the garage with the engine running and didn't drive it. When it finished and I entered the test address it worked perfectly. But....others have driven while updating and it worked immediately after the update.

There's two votes for letting it sit.

Looks like that's the best way to go. Maybe I'll take my iPad with me and watch some YouTube videos to pass the time.

Plus, I won't have to wait until the temps get above 40!

No issues letting my update occur while enjoying a nice ride.

Is there any way to get Waze or Google Maps on the Heads-Up display? Not having the Corvette’s Nav info on the Heads-Up display is the ONLY feature lacking in the Nav alternatives.

In order to do that GM would need to support an external API to 3rd party developers. It's my understanding that that interface either does not exist or is not supported. 'Tis a shame. Wonder if they'll open it up for the C8.
