The left headlight flashed off on my 2014 and back on several times, then stayed off.
I checked later in my garage and it works, but the color is more yellow like incandescent lights.
Does this mean a new ballast and lamp?
My '14 did the same thing; called my mechanic who said to pull and put back the fuse (don't recall which). That solved it. I doubt
it but what the heck, give it a shot...…..
I'd try new bulbs first. Since you will have the bumper off, replace both so the color is the same (go with good quality aftermarket). You will know then if you need the more expensive ballast. Keep us posted.
I'm recovering from a quadruple heart bypass, so I'll have to drive awhile as it is, until I can work on it. I don't have to go anywhere at night very often.
Since the color is now very different, I'm thinking the ballast is still good. (I hope)

Hope your recovery from surgery goes well. If HID bulbs are anything like halogens, be careful about handling bulbs---oil on fingers diminishes lifespan of bulb. Good luck on both bulbs and health.
I replaced the bulbs in my 2014 ‘vert with Osram Nightbreaker Laser size D3S. They advertise them as up to 200% brighter and I believe it. They are much better than the stock bulbs not only in brightness but also a whiter (less yellow) light without starting to cross over into the blue spectrum. About $220 on Amazon. if you go that route, careful that you order the “Laser”. The other Nightbreaker advertises only 70% brighter. Osram has an online procedure where you enter the code on the bulb’s package that verifies you are getting their genuine product rather than a cheap knockoff so make sure you do that.
