I use my Vette as a DD. I have been using Magiuar’s Ultra Quick Detailer also every day for 3 yrs. I go thru it so fast that my wife has accused me of drinking it. I have a 2002 H-D Road King and have used Pledge to detail it for 18 yrs. with excellent results. So —— what are the thoughts of using Pledge as a Detailer.

Never have tried using Pledge on a car as it is not really designed for that use. But, if you like it, go for it. I'll stick to the automotive type products.

Unless there is a round sticker with "ADAMS" on the container the contents do not go on the Vette !
The only exception was in the old days, there was a wax in a tin container labelled "Classic Wax". This had no cleaning capabilities. Once the fiberglass was clean and you applied "Classic Wax" with the best shine cloth ever (white cloth diaper) the shine was unbelievable.
It was certainly a lot of work but well worth it...…To be honest, at my age I am certainly glad that Adams is available.
Using it everyday is fine, but it has no staying power. Dissipates too fast. Most product for cars lasts weeks, months, or years before it wears off from sun and rain.
If you like Meguiars products, and you like Pledge, and apply Pledge the way it was applied in the commercial above, you will like Meguiars UFF (ultimate fast finish) You spray UFF on the microfiber towel provided and rub it on the paint. Thats it. no second pass with a dry cloth buffing required. Ironically, like Pledge, an auto detailer did a u-tube using Meguiars UFF as a dash and upholstery dust repeller. it works inside and out. When I am in florida and the car is parked outside for the night slime of salt air mist, then baking in sun during the day, I get two months of external protection from UFF easy. On a vette, surface area to cover is no big deal. On a pickup with a cap, spraying uff on a long handled microfiber brush is a godsend to just spray the "mop" and apply quickly and easily with no buff out.
We used Pledge in the 80's, stole it from Mom
Pledge or Lemon Pledge is silicone oil, can be issues if you ever need to paint or touch up paint on a car, really bad on fiberglass, it get absorbed.
Lemon Pledge Ingredients: Naphtha, petroleum, light alkylate 5%-10% Polydimethylsiloxanes (Silicon oil) 5%-10% Water 7 0%-85% Butane 1% -5% Isobutane 1% - 5% Propane 1% - 5% Source: Consumer Product Information Database Silcon based cleaners (silicon oil) are said to be O.K. for Lexan, but not alcohol or ammonia-based cleansers.

Gees, I wish U-tubers would just quickly convey their message and be done with it. Sometimes I believe someone must be paying them by the word or they just love to hear themselves talk.
As far as using pledge, seems there's far too many great automotive products out there to use something that's just going to lay on the top until it evaporates in hours. Though on the other side of the coin, I have used Meguiar's products to successfully remove scratches from wood furniture many times.

If you use the Pledge on your Vette everyday then your Wife will accuse you of drinking that as well. Seriously though I would use the Mequairs detail spray as that is what it is intended for versus Pledge.
I used Pledge back in the 60's...It was the best quick detailer that was ever made back then. Today, Miguiars is my go to liquid for detailing just to get the dust off. Rejex and Miguiars is all you need. .
