I went to the correct spot for the glass repair. I think the lint thing is something we might be able to handle ourselves.

I had that lint in one of my phones one time and got it cleaned out by using pressurized air and a little plastic toothpick. But you can always google for the procedure. There are several, but I tried that first because it was the least aggressive.

HAH! You guys have been a great help, and I "fixed" it today. I knew it was my phone. Before I warranted it, I wanted to try the above post. But today, as the car was warming up, I channeled my inner 12 year old and blew into the port with that special kind of blow you do on Nintendo systems. I cringed when I saw a piece of belly button lint fly off in my peripheral. Sure enough, plugged her in and it works!
