Need some assistance please, I clearly do not understand all the different types of tires available for a 2016 Z06. I continue to get different responses from local tire dealers.
I live in Georgia and need to replace my factory tires (vehicle only has 10,000 miles). Can someone offer some advice?
I asked a similar question a few weeks ago, and I also have a 2016 Z06. There aren't a ton of options to consider. Here is the best concise answer I received from another poster:
Cup 2 noisy- great summer tire and track day tire if no rain
super sports- not noisy, great summer and track day tire if light rain
as3+ - not noisy, slight less grip at limits, better in rain and cold
r888r- ultimate street dry tire, not as good as cup 2 on track when cup 2 is new and hot. Doesn’t come in factory sizes.
continentals- good daily tire, not noisy, not run flat, runs narrow and changes “look” of tire fitment.

Good summary. Spring Mountain recommends the AS3+ I went with the continental, hoping to get a bit longer wear. They feel a little harder and there is noticeably less grip than the Super Sports. They don't looka s aggressive either. They are lasting longer, which is a plus.
Have you checked out what a Discount Tire store near you might have? A lot of small shops and local tire stores may not have the proper equipment to mount new tires on your rims and that will bias what they tell you.
I stuck with the Super Sports. I live in Phoenix, so I didn't feel the need to get the all weather tires. If you frequently drive in the rain, the AS/3 would be a good choice, and would probably save you about $400 over the factory option.
Another thing to look for is the wear on your existing tires. My car was close to factory spec on alignment, but it still chewed up the insides of both the front and the rear (more so the front). I would have gotten quite a few more miles with a less aggressive setup. I had an alignment done immediately after getting the tires put on and am hoping to do better this time. I made it 12,000 miles, but the fronts were well past done and should have been replaced sooner. I honestly wouldn't have known how badly they were worn if I hadn't crawled under the car to do something unrelated. I couldn't see anything looking directly at the tires with the car being so low and the location of the wear.
I considered a non-run flat, but I drive into some pretty desolate areas on twisty mountains roads and decided I didn't want to roll the dice on something like that. The situation may be much different for others.

I see you live in San Diego so there is no reason for AS3+'s (not cold very often). Why not stick with the Super Sports or the New Piolt 4's?
I have the Michelin AS3+ on my 2016 Z for the last 12k miles, & I think they are the best. I do not track, so I was looking for long wear, less noise, and the ability to drive the Z in cold & wet conditions, and the AS3+ does it all. What ever tire you get, get at street alignment, as close to Zero toe as you can get to get max tire life.

Since the continental fitment looks different would love to see a pic of one mounted. This is the tire I am leaning toward when time comes. Anyone willing to take a pic and post. Thanks

I had Pilot Sport 4S's on my C6 Z06 and want them on my C7 GS, but they apparently are not made--at least not in Tire Rack, America's Tire, or Costco. Are they available?
If not, I"m thinking the PSS's and not run flats (hate run flats and don't need them in southern CA). AS3's a few $100's cheaper than Super Sports, but I think they don't perform as well in dry? I don't track the car.

I asked the question about PSS in a non run flat and I don't believe they make them...
