A little help please, my car has been in the shop for 2 weeks getting re-wrapped. While there, my battery ran down. They charged it up, started it up and now it's runnung rough. They think it's the battery, I've never heard of this happening. Is this common, or is it somehting else? Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions. And yes, they disconnected and reconnected it, same results. L8R ZFLASH
If the battery was dead a long time the onboard computer can lose its idle settings. Look up VRAM. A few hours of driving should allow the computer to regain its program and idle smoothly. Your mechanic should have known that if it idled smooth before the jump

Thanks for the reply, this was at the wrap shop, not my mechanic. My mechanic was closed today, so I was going to call him tomorrow. I'll see if I can get the wrap guy to drive it around or can it just idle and readjust?
There are a few things you can try if you don't want to drive it. Look up rough idle after battery install on Google you will get the information. PS If your battery is old you also might want to get a new one. Why risk battery failure.
Okay, picked it up today. They put a new battery in and now when I start it, it says low battery. I put my tender own and charged it to full, so we will see how it goes tomorrow after driving it all day. It does drive normal now though, so I'll follow up after driving tomorrow. Thanks, L8R ZFLASH
