Default LED side markers - too bright? Throw a code?

For those of you that have these - I really like these better than the ones that only have the lights at the top, like OEM. But are they too bright? I can't really tell if there are from the pics. And do they throw a code? I thought I read somewhere that a few had - may not be this brand, but I read it somewhere. I couldn't find the Thread where I saw it..

I am not sure if those are really just the Oracles or something else.

I have the Oracles and they do NOT throw any codes.

The Oracles are a bit thicker than OEM and they sit out further a bit. Some have complained that their Oracles went out, but I had mine installed for five years with no issues.

The Oracles I have are ghosted, so probably not as bright as those that are not ghosted. But even Ghosted, they are much brighter the OEM lights and of course they fill up the entire space for the cool lighting effect.

Same here.

And yes they are VERY bright compared to OEM. You could always tint them back with the same decals many use to cover the OEM lights.

I have the ones Chip sold and love them too. You can see how bright they are and they literally throw light onto the road. Have had zero issues, PERFECT!

The LEDs draw less power yet product more light than the OEM bulbs. No code issues.

I just received mine from SouthernCarParts a few days ago and plan to install them on Tuesday. Great to hear they do in fact fit flush. I didn’t go with Oracle brand because I read too many reviews that said they stick out, not flush with the fender.

I got $40 off using their forum member code.

I went with Oracle Carbon Flash Ghosted. Really like them, they are not too bright, far better that the two bulb OEM (IMO). They do not throw any codes.

On (daytime, in garage):

Hope your luck with those is better than mine because those are the ones that caused a TPMS problem. Drive around with your headlights on for about 20 minutes and you’ll know.

TheRobSJ is saying the LED side markers emitted signals which interfered with the transmit signal from the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) which then came up as a tire low pressure warning on the display.

I sure hope this was an isolated problem from an earlier verision of the side markers because I just received my set of LED side markers from SouthernCarParts and plan to install them tomorrow!

I got an earlier set and about once every 1k miles or so I get a tpms error on the same front side regardless of what wheels I have on the car.

Cliff notes? SCP side markers caused TPMS signal to drop (mostly on right front) after 10-15 minutes of driving when the lights were on. Some kind of RF interference with those particular Chinese made lights. Switched to Oracles, and while even brighter, yes they don't sit entirely flush. But zero problems with TPMS.

My right front does the same thing. It happens about once every thousand miles or so. I'm guessing I know why now. Thanks for letting me know. The dealership thought it was the module under the rear cover and I decided to wait until it got worse to fix it. Thank you so much. I really didn't feel like pulling the rear clip off. I put these on the car before I ever drove it so I had the problem in the first 50 miles.

TheRobSJ, When you encountered the TPMS problem with the SCP side markers your lights were on but was it only when you had the headlights on? Any TPMS problem when you only had the DRLs on?

I believe you have a 2019. I only point that out because I read a number of posts from owners with 2015-2018 model years who installed SCP side marker and
driven at night with headlights on and never had this problem.
