Bad habit, can you elaborate on the rear clip thing and how it alleviated the the problem? Thanks!
The receiver for the tpms sensors is behind the rear bumper cover. The body colored part. My dealership will allow me to replace things like that because they know I won't mess it up and they don't have to worry about me getting upset because they chipped the paint. I told the dealership about the issue and since I have 4 sets of wheels and tires to test with I knew it wasn't the the tpms sensors because the same wheel would error out. It would only happen about once every 600-800 miles which made it even harder to diagnose. I don't like to just change parts so I stumbled on a thread on here that had narrowed it down to the led side markers.
I don’t - but the probability of it happening was very high as I understands it’s the JW LED lights on 2019 and some others randomly.
and since I had a lot of work done on my car and the wheels were off I made it a 1 time event to mess around with them. I don’t have any space as my cars so low to get in there and change them so, figured it’d attempt to stop it if it was ever going to happen...
So it’s possible then that you never had a problem in the first place? So if the foil works it may not, because you didn’t have a problem. If that just made any sense
Thank you didn’t see it before Do you know if these work for sure? Or is everyone still in testing mode Thanks I’m thinking of trying this and the foil and if that doesn’t work I’m going to give up Just don’t want to waste my time On the other hand what do I have to lose but time right? Do I just clip these on both wires that connect to the light?

Could you take some pictures so I can see exactly what you did so I know how to do it? (And where to get them maybe a link) Also is this done instead of the tape or both Thanks
There is a link in this thread to Amazon for the chokes(post 200). They are a small cylindric unit that has a channel through the center. You just fold them over the two wires feeding the lamp and clip them together. My car is back together now and I do not want to open it up again. There are You Tube videos on removing/installing the lamps. It is not difficult. just takes a little time. You can read through this thread to find everything you asked about.

Will the tape come off the back of the lights if it didn’t work and I wanted to take it off? Or is it like once you put it on it’s to much of APITA to take off? Thanks

it comes off easy, pulled it off to redo one whilst wrapping it.
Are there any 2015’s that don’t exhibit the problem?
I haven’t order the ferrites yet. I used to use ferrites on power cords of my stereo system decades ago and found more than one really damped down the dynamics.
I did the foil tape and let you all know about it. Be sure to know that I did not buy the side markers from JW Motorsports. So this fix is no indictment of their product. The inferior product that I bought is why I used tape.
@GS583 Just to confirm - you had the TPMS problem due to the LED side markers and you have remedied, tested, and verified that the ferrite clips in post #200 are the solution??
This morning I opened up the front lamps and installed the chokes on them. The exposed wires were long enough that I could fit the smallest chokes on them. The only one that I used a larger choke on was drivers rear as I chose to not remove part of the wire loom to allow the length to be enough to fit a small one. Your cars wiring looms may be slightly different.
BTW, you place the chokes over both wires and clip them shut.
Best of luck to everyone that has been having issues with this and hope it is a good fix for you also.
Dave
Would really like to see pictures if you took any.

Yes, 100% sure it was the LED strip markers that affected TPMS on my 2019 Z06. From the previous reports it seems the 19's are more susceptible to this than earlier years. Never had the double dash on the RF TPMS until I installed the LED strip marker lamps. It appeared the first night shortly after my lights came on. After installing the choke on the drivers rear wires to the lamp the problem went away even with the lights on. As noted I have since put the chokes on all leads to the lamps. I was out at a cruise last night with the lights on for over an hour and no double dash. The day before I drove at highway speeds for over 30 miles with lights on - no double dash on RF TPMS indicator. Everything is now working as it did with the original stock side marker lamps. I cannot give you a guaranty that it will work on your car but it did on mine. Isn't it worth a try for $8 if you already have the error and prefer to continue running the strip LED's? Others are also going to do this once their chokes arrive so we will be getting data from more than one sample very soon if they report back. If you are unsure or mistrust my experience wait until they check in with results.
I forgot to test this morning but I did put the chokes on this weekend and no TPMS issues but I did not force my lights on.... I will check tonight on the drive home and hopefully remember in the morning also... So far it good to go...
I was only able to use the very small one on my front left light as the loom was further back the other 3 I used the next size up that fit exactly over the wire and loom.... I also used a 12 inch piece of electrical tape over the choke just to make sure it does not fall off some how some way...
So far, no luck for me with the ferrite rings. I purchased the set from Amazon but I have only installed the one on the left rear marker wires. I get the TPMS system default code within a few minutes of driving on the freeway with the lights on. Does anyone have an opinion on whether or not installing the other three would make a difference? I can try it if you think that would help. If not, I will go in another direction.

I have a 2014 Z51 2lt.
I think all 4 chokes were installed on all four corners and the "fix" worked.
Mine was the one that happened to work by installing on the left rear only BUT I did install the other three the next day. I would suggest installing the rest as all of them will emit RF and one may be worse than the others. Best of luck and hope it works for you. BTW my LEDs were from JWM . If yours are from somewhere else there may be differences.
