When the computer registers a tpms fault does it put the car into a derated mode that is more susceptible to getting the traction control/slip icons?

I've noticed that when driving aggressively with the TPMS light on that the car handles different.

Switch back the LEDs with the OEMs and see if the issue goes away.

Itit will be much easier to run with your lights on during daylight hours and highway speeds to see if it happens and if it does turn the lights off into the same thing again and see if it happens.

I installed another ferrite choke on my Z last night, this time right (passenger) rear. The small wires were exposed for a longer length so I used one of the smallest chokes from the kit on that side. Hope to do both fronts today. If things change will report.

Not sure about derating. But I can tell you for sure that Performance Traction Management (and launch control) cannot be accessed when it is showing a TPMS fault.

Love this forum, great job everyone....

I will also install mine this weekend, should be good to go from here on out...

The guy selling those ferrite chokes will be scratching his head trying to figure out why he sold 1000 sets in a month... LOL

While I admire people's initiative to fix this issue it seems ridiculous to have to purchase items to make a newly purchased item work.

I am guessing JW did testing on this product before they put them out for sale, did this slip by them ?

Keep in mind very few people have had any issue. Fortunately, almost all of them have jumped on the "let's solve it" band wagon.

The chances of you having any problem is slim. If you do, JW will take them back and refund your money.

I worked for many years in industrial maintenance, you would not believe the amount of time and money that is spent preventing and tracing down noise and ground issues in multi million dollar computer controlled production and process lines. The little hiccups that our vehicles have are literally child's play compared to sorting out systems like those. I am sure ElisTwoCents can relate with noise and grounding issues on aircraft. An $8 fix is worthwhile to me to have the fit and finish I want versus the price difference of the Oracles. I am sure the Oracles are a fine product but the standout from the body panels would have bothered me so I made my choice and found a solution that suited me.

I only discuss personal experience. Say, Does S&H still print those cute green stamps? Maybe you can get something at a discount with them. I bet you're going to need to look that one up!

Be nice.
