I bought the Daytona 3 ton low profile long reach. Solid item.
The only bad part....they didn't have the color I wanted. "black". All they had in that jack at the time was this crazy neon green. So...LOL, that's what's in my garage....next to my incomplete Quick Jack.

Well, I dont think you will have any trouble finding it in your garage. 🤪
Do you need a long reach or will the low profile work for a GS?
If you're jacking from the sides using pucks in one of the 4 frame positions where they insert, the low profile works fine. If you want to jack from the front or the back, that's where the long reach comes in handy. I actually have one of each.
Just picked up a blue HF 3 ton long reach, low profile floor jack today. Normally, $209. However, they have a coupon on their site that you can use until June 30th that knocks it down to $169 for any color - blue, black, orange or green. A pretty good deal, IMHO.

I'll second that. Picked up a black one yesterday also.
As i have always run lowered cars - I have always gone for the low-profile range. However, with that being said, I do own two different jacks that are both made by Arcan. You really cannot go wrong with the Aluminum ALJ3T model if you have the dollar to spend! Some recommended here -> https://procarreviews.com/best-floor-jack/ but i have also heard great things about the Daytonna range!
If anyone is interested in a long reach, low profile, Dayton from HF, try using code 28648517. This was the coupon code a couple weeks ago and they said it was good until 6/30. Not sure it will work but you can try. I believe it will take $30 off the $199 price.
I used to sell jacks. In the 80's there were 4 major jack manufacturers-Auto Specialties Mfg. Co. (AUSCO), Blackhawk, Hein Warner, and Lincoln. All of these were really high quality and were expensive, the cheapest were over $180 wholesale. I sold AUSCO and all the NASCAR teams used that brand in the pits. It came time to retool and they were going to cost about $300 wholesale for a 1.25 Ton jack and with over 300 in orders, it was not feasible for them to continue production. They were the first to import a "decent" 2 ton floor jack that wholesale was $75.00, made in Taiwan. In 1985, I sold a bunch of these to the local Snap-On branch who sold them to the dealers for $150. Things were going good until the saddle, which was attached to the lift arm with a 10 mm bolt, started breaking off while vehicles were in the air. They redesigned the saddle with a 20 mm solid pin made into the saddle, but by then the unethical Taiwan manufacturers started importing directly to the mass merchandisers.
A few years ago, I was using one of those $75 specials, and if finally failed. I had a customer that had purchased a pallet of good 2 ton Ausco jacks and I went to see what he would sell me one for, knowing that he paid close to $400, but he had gone out of business. I ended up buying a Harbor Freight 3 ton low profile for around $78.00. The pump is a direct copy of the old AUSCO design.
One final thought about imported lifting equipment, the US manufacturers would rate their product at 50% of capacity. They tested and a 2 ton jack would not fail until it was under a 4 ton load. The Japanese manufacturers would rate at 75% so a 2 ton jack would start to fail at 3 tons and the Taiwan/Chinese were right at their rated capacity. A 2 ton jack would fail at 2 tons 1 ounce, based of testing at the factory.

Reason: mispelling
I'll revive this old thread as the information seemed useful. My old race jack from Costco finally bit the dust and I cannot find a rebuild kit for it.
Seems impossible to find any aluminum jack not made in China. Sad. So I figure if they all come from China, and it appears these China$hit units are disposable, I'll bite on the Harbor Freight recommended here since they all seem to be throwaway now. No point wasting $ on one double or triple the price if they are all Chinese crap.
I have to admit I hate HF as everything I have ever bought there has been a single use and then broke and tossed it in the trash. I only go to HF if there is a tool I unexpectedly need in the middle of a project and I cannot get it anywhere else and I got to finish the job that day.

The harbor freight Daytona long reach jack is solid. Check the fluid in it when you get it, mine was a tad low. Beyond that it's been great. It's all about how you use it, don't do anything dumb and you'll be fine xD
I anyone doesn't have a HF nearby, the Summit Racing jacks are great also. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wmr-w1642
It will get beat up during shipping, so if you care about it looking pristine, don't go this route.
All you need to do is drive up on a 2 by 10 or a couple of them stacked if you need more height. Then you can use a regular jack under there at the jacking points.
If I ever need a new one, I might get one of the low profile just to make it easier. Unless they cost a lot more.
