These are indeed very common statements. It is obvious many enjoy being the focus of attention and it clearly matters to them if they are getting noticed.

I do not understand it and do not share this trait. But others' enjoyment of receiving attention because of the car they purchased is harmless, and takes nothing away from me.

People buy Corvettes for all sorts of reasons.

I did some tests with a cellphone sound meter, neither the meter nor my ears could tell any reduction in noise by adding a Lloyd's trunk mat.
But I bought a gray mat that made the trunk less of a black hole, especially at night. Also, it has rubber backing. If I'm going to carry something that might be damp or dirty, I flip the mat over so the rubber side is up. When finished, I clean the rubber side and let it dry, then replace in the trunk.

Sound insulation will help with road noise. I also swapped over to a set of Michelin A/S 3+ ZP tires and that seemed to help a bit also.

The best cure I have found though is to set the NPP exhaust to open all the time and now I enjoy the exhaust note - road noise has disappeared. .

Yes.

The car is for me! It's mine. Bought for me. I drive it.

Why is it so important to impress or draw attention from people you don't even know? Strange to say the least.
For much the same reason to avoid shame if you happen to own a car like:

Lots of people care about the impression things they acquire make on other people.

WTH are you my twin? Unfortunately you and I are the minority. I just don't get it. I always think they should have gotten a Cadillac.

OP: Some people question the results of sound deadening. I am not questioning their experience, as i am not familiar with their installations. However, I have first hand experience with this in my 2018 GS. I had the Double Extreme kit installed by Crazy Cowboy @ Exotic Vette do it when he was near my state. Net result: A noticeable reduction in both sound from the rear as well as much less heat coming from the center tube near the transmission (I have an M7). I would do it again in a heart beat.

I put the sound deafening material down in the trunk and behind each seat (found from one of the posts here on the forums). Then put a weathertek mat down over that in the trunk. Looks great, I worry less about putting things in the trunk that might be messy, and heavily reduces the noise.

/edit - the main reason to do this was to encourage the wife to ride along. She complained of the interior noise and then wouldn't touch the car for months. For some that may be a bonus, but for me I wanted her to be comfortable as well. And the setup certainly was nice on the 1000+ mile long ride to Vegas last year.

Bro, you're trying too hard to make a ridiculous point much less to someone new here with their new car, way to welcome them to the club.... Of course we don't buy our cars to get validation, that just comes naturally with cars like these and sometimes you weren't expecting it so it surprises you. You can lie to yourself if you want to but I'm not buying it. You can't say it's just for performance because you could get a a beater that has a nice engine or suspension, track Miata or BMW, fox body, etc that's just as fast or faster in a lot of cases.

Sincere question, why did you buy your Corvette?

The C7 interiors are a bit loud. If you remove the side panels and rear carpet, you'll see that there's nothing but a huge plastic tub back there with no insulation or undercoating. That along with the huge tires will all contribute to the interior noise. The standard run flat tires are harsh and noisy. It's hard to carry on a conversation with someone sitting right next to you. A couple of fixes, gut the interior and add some insulating material and switch to non run flat tires. It won't eliminate the problem but will sure help lower it a few dbs.

My god dude relax. He’s just commenting on his experience out with the car for the first time. He’s explaining the differences between this and his mustang. Why is him including people’s reactions a problem for you?

I installed a Lloyds trunk matt in mine and also installed some of the grey foam padding from Harbor Freight that is used to stand on. I put this stuff under the trunk matt It kind of pieces together like a jig saw puzzel. I also purchased the Lloyds floor matts for the front. Between all of this I did notice a difference in road noise. Its not gone completely...but less noticeable.

The road noise depends on the road surface, with smooth asphalt giving very quiet rides with river rock or pea gravel roads being quite noisy. The option to add insulation would add cost and weight and the Tadge Team likely made the call to leave it off, if they ever considered sound proofing seriously.
Another vote for Lloyd's mat and the complete BlockIt set (cargo and behind the seats) to cut down on the cargo compartment thumping... The cargo floor is basically a drum head that projects sound up to the rear window then forward to the passenger area. The Lloyd's and BlockIt mats did a noticeable job of reducing the noise with minimum effort.
