I can't afford Xpel right now and really don't drive my car on the freeway hardly at all. So,does anyone have an opinion for the best Grand Sport front end bra that is easy on/easy off and not risky for the paint for that occasional 30-40 mile trip to the airport on the freeway?

I use a Novastretch nylon bra...
PROS Easy to install and use, packs to a very small size, washes with soap and water, keeps bugs off
CONS Minimal rock/debris protection, will need holes to let front cameras see...
Did a 2500 mile four day road trip with some rain in the mix and car finish was fine

I too use a Novistretch bra on my car - good for keeping bugs off the car but will get holes in it from rocks and other debris thrown up on the front end. It is an easy on/easy off item, can be left on in rain and washed in washing machine and stores easily.

I just ordered a front cover from Speed Lingerie - heavy duty vinyl which should protect the front end much better. Not cheap though. Will see how it works when it arrives in a few weeks.

Interesting.

You are worried about a little possible road rash for a small millage trip, (which if you maintain a good distance, is not an issue), but parking at the airport for days isn't a concern?

That said: bras are bad, both as a female and as a sports car owner.

This product might be what you're looking for. It's inexpensive, but only last about 12 months. Then you would have to reprep and reapply.

Autozone and Amazon carry it. The kit costs about $40-$50. Here is a video on how to install it. It is a DIY spray.

I have had a novistretch bra on all 3 of my C7’s and I would hardly define my experience as “BAD” . Is it on there 24/7, no it is not.
No it does not provide the protection a vinyl one would but the NS is not as invasive as a non breathable front end cover, does not trap moisture, the NS is less expensive and far less complicated to put on and off. It’s for bugs, you will still get some rock hits , but anyone that lives in Florida knows how bad the bugs can be. The NS is backed by some of the best customer service I have experienced with Andy and the team.
Those contemplating this decision need to be informed and that is what I am trying to do here.

I too run the novistretch, good product for what it is, not a rock shield.

Just spend a few dollars for drcolorchip should you get a chip, this will take care of the issue which most likely will not be a problem. Not sure why most Corvette owners think the Corvette will get road rash and stone chips if you drive it without wrapping it in plastic or a ridiculous looking bra.
If you look at used Vettes sitting on dealer lots for sale few if any have chips or road rash and almost none of them are wrapped in plastic.
I guess if that is how owners want to spend their money keeping their Vette perfect for the next owner fine with me,

Ive used NoviStretch bra on the last (5) Vettes I've owned and could not be happier. Ive never understood the logic behind not wanting to spend $150 on a bra but would rather spend $600 to $800 on a repainted frontend...just asinine logic if you ask me.

$600 - $800 will get the front quarter of the car (plus mirrors) covered with Xpel.

Car bras seem too 80's to me. Sort of like the rear window louvers that have somehow hit the market again. Makes me think of mullet hair styles

Can't go wrong with the Novistretch. I use it on long highway trips and right after winter when there is still left over crud on the roads. Mine works as advertised and is a snap (no pun intended) to put on and take off. Easy to wash and dry for the mask also.

I've never understood the logic of hanging an ugly cover on the nose of a car to protect its appearance. You get to drive an ugly car and the next owner reaps the benefits.

Colgan makes a really nice fitting bra that is easy to install and remove....it is more heavy duty and resists rocks/road debris better than just bug protection of the Nova Stretch in my humble opinion....I have had no issues with moisture causing paint problems....I think it adds an aggressive look to the front end...I also have the mirror bras ...they could use a bit of fitment improvement, but they do serve a purpose... Here in rural N.E.Ga. there are sooooo any "A " holes that mow their yards kicking out everything into the road...its pathetic.. I had to get the bra and the mirror bras...I have chips in the paint on both mirrors and the front end facade as well thanks to the idiots...eventually... I will get things repainted and seek a clear film for protection, for now... further damage is prevented and present damage is concealed. I hope th

at this scenario helps you find the right solution for "you". Respectfully, Ed

Speed Lingerie is quick on and quick off. Get the front of the hood piece too. I had one on my C5 and wish I had put it on sooner. No paint rash or anything negative to the paint. Their color match is real close so you won't get that 80's look either.

Yeah your right - cause this look SOO much better than a bra that can be taken off in 2 min... Also - find me one person that sees a Vette drive by and says..."oh that would be such a beautiful car, if only they took that damn bra off..."

To each his own, but that looks like dog's breath to me....

I have a Novistretch. It's not really a bra. It's a bug catcher. A bra will prevent small stones from damaging paint. Novistretch will not DO that. I believe the OP asked about a bra to stop stone damage..
