Only you know what you need to "LOVE" the car, be it color, transmission, trim level, etc.

Figure out what you need and then hold out for whatever this is.

For example, for me performance is paramount and color is unimportant. For others, color is critical. Determine where you fall on this and all other major issues. Than shop to find the car which works for you.

I agree with Skid Row Joe. Find the best deal man.

The C7 prices will drop, but so will that precious equity you have in the Mustang. (assuming you're trading it) I felt that same frustration when I was in the market because I didn't want to buy a C8 (I love the look but rear/mid engine maintenance scares me). As soon as I stopped looking, I found a black 2018 A8 Stingray with the 1LT package, plus PDR and NAV with only 8,065 on the odometer. Listed price was $40k....and everything else I saw was at least $6k more. I'm not a fan of HUD or the leather dash, so 1LT was perfect for me. I bought the car and a month later got a 5 year GMEPP from Dennis and life has been great. First car I've ever owned that i plan to keep longer than 3 years.

To me the C7 was always perfect in 1LT trim. The only think I have done is added mufflers, a spoiler and side skirts. Still under $43k.

Good Luck with your search, but don't be afraid to walk away for a week or so.

I looked for about two years. My neighbor found it. I could not believe he found the exact Vette I wanted. I almost gave up. My advise is do not settle. When I buy something that is below what I want, it ends up getting sold. Good luck in your search.

Also, here's a tip buying used; you're going to have to actually buy the car. Used cars are not held without a deposit and signing the Buyer's Agreement. I drove 200 miles to buy the used car that was put on AutoTrader on a Monday night. I was there at 12 Noon Tuesday when the Mercedes Benz dealer was putting it out on the lot after servicing it. I made an offer on it Tuesday. On Wednesday the car had a back up buyer waiting. When I was satisfied. I wrote a check IN-FULL, for the car. Used cars in-demand? You can't mess around with tire kicking and hemming and hawing.....

Buying used means some compromise. So the question becomes: what will you compromise on? For example I wouldn't take a black car if you gave it to me. I would wait, there are plenty of cars out there and you likely don't need C7 tomorrow. As you wait you'll get a better feel for the market by seeing what comes and goes along with getting a good gauge on pricing.

all but it being a convertible. But if this came along at a dealer I would most likely jump on it! Thanks for the share!

Don't compromise on the color. Be patient and find what you want or you'll be back in the regret mode like you are with your mustang.

Hold out for the Vert! I ended up trading a 17 GS coupe for a 19 Z06 vert. It cost me some $$ but entirely worthwhile as I really missed the open top. Also white is the most popular color so they are out there. I chose to have black interior for my own reasons but red is traditional since 1953.

If you want to be happy, don't 'Settle' on your requirements... Your money, your decision.

For a C7 I am really wanting a white convertible, M7, Z51, Velocity red interior. I can do without the Z51 and velocity red interior if a white one with an M7 comes along. Ive found 2 cars. 1 silver vert with an M7 3LT but not Z51 or red interior And this is the other one a forum member found for me thats only about 30 miles away. 2016 . This one has everything I want. I like black but hate keeping it clean and I just think the white looks better. Should I go for the black one since its a unicorn or hold out and hope I can get the color I like the best.

Took me about 3 months to find mine and then had to go from Va to Indianapolis to get it, but have never regretted it. Hold out for what you want .

And you may regret not getting a convertible. Buyer’s Remourse is an ugly ailment, as you already know.

This one is at Criswells https://www.criswellcorvette.com/Veh...-MD/4612855373

I sent the dealership of the white one a text asking if they will match the price. Im betting no.

No matter the color but especially if it is black, it is well worth the cost to have paint corrected, wrapped in PPF and ceramic coated. No swirls. Easy to clean.

Wow! That is ridiculously overpriced! I'd offer them $40k with the intent to settle at $42k. No way that car is worth $53k

I wanted Torch Red, it is my favorite Vette color. I wanted certain options and was not going to settle.

I wanted a convertible, navigation, and 3LT. I looked at a lot of cars. At the time, every other one I locked at was either black or high mileage. Neither, of which I wanted.

Then, one day, I went to Carmax. They did not have one. The salesperson looked, but, they did have one in San Diego, would I like to have it sent to them? Yes, I would.

It was a white ( a color I had not considered before) Stingray Z51, Nav, 3LT, with extras, and I looked no further.

Get what you want, you will have to live with it!
