Can anyone comment on this product please ? I am considering this. I have 2 questions:
1. Is it a plug in module (under the dash)?
2. Does it void the factory warranty? And if so, can I unplug it if I ever need warranty work ?
The throttle controller plugs in behind the foot feed between the electrical output of the foot feed itself and the car's electronics. It takes the signals from the foot feed and tells the car to respond with the throttle response curve you have chosen. It is an easy install, but it is a bit cramped working under the dash.
It is a neat product and wakes the car up nicely when you choose a more aggressive response curve. You can go the other way and make the car feel very sluggish as well.
It probably took me all of 10 minutes to install my controller, very simple and the instructions are complete and concise. Hardest part is deciding where to mount the control module, I mounted mine down near the manual door opener, I figured once I found my optimal setting it did not need to be where I had easy access to it, ran the wire under the floor mat, unless you look closely it is invisible. Best mod for an other wise great vehicle.

i have had one for about 6mos. great product. Infinitly adjustable. Simple to just unplug the control module and take in for warranty. And it does holds its memory.
There was not space on the dash to the left of the steering column so I ran the wire from the pedal up under the right side of the dash, through the gap on the right of the steering column and let the TC sit in the key fob holder on the side of the column. It is a loose fit so I put a piece of foam used for sealing camper tops on the back so it fit snug enough so it does not rattle. I left enough slack in the cable to allow me to pull it out and see the display if I want to change the setting but I like comfort 2 so rarely will need to remove it change the setting.
There is not anything to see. The plugs go behind the foot feed and under the carpeting.
The controller wire (thin) gets routed to wherever you would like to put the controller. The little control unit sticks with double-sided tape to wherever you choose. I put mine next to the HUD controls to the left of the steering wheel. Others route it up the right side to the storage bin, etc.
You can also pick the response curve you like and then detach the controller; the unit has a memory.
The first picture shows how the Soler controller integrates with the stock electronics. There is a hole in the carpeting for tucking the stock electronics behind the carpeting where the controller also goes. One could eave them out as shown in the picture however.
Need a little info assist from those who've been down this road... My goal is not track related, but rather I'd like to remove or reduce the initial 'lag' when stepping on the gas pedal. Been driving manuals for a long time, but still find myself close to stalling sometimes. Its my only complaint about this wonderful car. So, my questions are;
- Will the controller alone solve this problem?
- Do I need to get the throttle body as well?

I have not used the controller separately from the throttle body so I do not know if it would help on its own, but the throttle body essentially took car of this for me (there remains a bit of lag/uncertainty at times).
I suggest emailing or calling Mike at Soler to ask him for his thoughts. He is very responsive.

Thanks in advance!
I have both parts on the C7 but on my second car I have the Sprint Booster alone. The SB performs similarly to the Soler Throttle Controller and takes care of the Acceleration lag.
IMO, on the C7 the Soler Throttle Body takes care of the off idle stumble and the Controller takes care of the Lag.
After reading this thread (and a few others in the past), I decided to take a look at both the TB and controller. After going to the website, I had a few questions/concerns, so I gave Soler a call and spoke with Mike. He addressed my questions with intelligent and concise answers. Placed my order and now patiently waiting.
I too mounted mine in the console but did not drill any holes. I just popped the USB hub out and used a pocket knife to trim out the left lower corner enough for the cable to clear.
