I've been seeing alot of these latley? Are the holes already there for these? Kind of takes away from the looks of the car.
Yes. C7s have front and rear tow connection points. They're very useful if you ever need to be towed. The "look" is definitely a matter of taste. Some like to leave them installed, because it looks like they spend a lot of time at the track. Others prefer to leave them in the rear storage area, and install them only when needed. Note that front hooks can be used in the front or rear, while a rear hook works only there.

Some owners have indicated that the toe hook connection point does not align perfectly with openings in your grill and as a result may require to perform some dremel work on your grill. This would require possibly removal of a small section of grill to be able to use the hook. I should also mention some owners do not leave the toe hooks installed as they can be easily stolen. Also, the toe hook for the front and rear have different lengths so order the proper hook length for your intended location.
I don't keep mine installed all of the time. I have the OEM tow hook in the battery compartment slot and a set of C7 V-Bridles in the storage compartment.

Rather than storing it in the rear storage area, you could just store it in the battery cover where there is a cleverly placed depression fit for that.

That works if your tow hook fits in the "cleverly placed depression fit for that." Unfortunately, my ZL1Addons hook does not fit.
The small grill panel is removable, so drilling necessary if your hook doesn't line up well.
'14s do not have the receptacle for the tow hook.
This is not completely true. 2014 Models should all have the front toe hook receptacle. The rear toe hook receptacle was added around half way through 2014 production

Ouch ! No way am I chopping up my car to hang a hook from the front grill !

You should be able to assess if this is the case visually. Just stoop down in front of your grill with a flashlight and locate the insertion connection location and "eyeball" whether there would be any interference with the grill issue.

No American 2014 had either of the receptacles. They did, however, have the removable covers for them. If you've got a '14 with the receptacle, it's because somebody put it in after market or it's a European model.
I have the same thing along with the GM tow hook stored in the car just in case.
Not necessary. You can winch this car up using the toe hook. Many owners do this. That bridle will not help if you have a flat/blowout on either front tires. Chances are you will be unable to access and attach the bridle to the transport latch points on the chassis in that instance. GM indicates you can use the toe hook on hard pavement without any issue. They indicate not to use the hook if the vehicle is driven off-road. Who drives their Corvette off hard pavement? A toe hook is your best bet. Keeps it simple.

I agree. My ‘14 does not have a front or rear tow hook receptacle.
