Default Wheel weight

A 19x10.5" wheel and 20x12.5" wheel (fully forged monoblock) each weigh 26.8 and 26.2lbs. respectively.

Are those weights considerd light, normal or heavy for that size of wheel?

weird the smaller narrower wheel is a tiny bit heavier.

Those weights seem heavier than I might expect for the "average" forged aluminum wheels IMO, by a couple of pounds or so each.

For reference, HRE lists their beautiful R101 LW at 18lbs for the 19x10.5" and 19.4lbs for the 20x12.5". Granted that's a high end forged aluminum wheel, so I'd expect more economical options to weigh more.

If HRE reads this, I'd happily accept a sponsored set for my z06, in gloss black please.

Yeah, that would be a nice wheel and light too but almost US$2500 each is a bit much to swallow.

I started this thread I'm in line first for a sponsored set of that HRE wheel in dark brushed titanium finish please HRE PLEASE???????

The larger issue than the net wheel weight itself, is the centrifugal weight penalty by the 19" and 20" diameter. I might not wait to wear out the OEM tires, before swapping to 18's and 19's.

That's right. I swapped to 18" Forgedline wheels front and rear. They fit, even over CCB brakes on my Z-07. R-888R tires and these wheels are MUCH lighter than the stock wheels/tires (5 pounds each), and the weight is closer to the hub, with less centrifugal loss to accelerate and brake their mass.
