Never had a single vehicle vandalized... and all of them lived outside 24/7/365. I also don't have an ex-wife
I did have a Mustang that got stolen when I was a teenager. I honestly think they took a joy ride or wanted the stereo because the car wasn't worth that much.
This is a great picture in every respect. 70s hair, 70s 3-piece suit, 70s car. “I ain’t missing not a single thing” ZZ Top boys would be proud.

Never in any of my four corvettes have I had vandalism! Oh, they did steal my 1984 C4 and striped it and insurance company totaled it. That said, I have a front and rear dashcam that has very clear pictures and it has a functionality that if while parked it can send you an alert to your phone and review on the phone app the video. Just before I bought my 2017 from the PO, someone had yanked up the passenger side mirror and broke the mechanism inside. Still have to get that fixed.
I dont think vettes are at any higher risk than other cars. Its just too bad there is a gene pool out there with people that like to hurt others.
My work car brand and model has been a Mercedes-Benz turbodiesel sedan for 32 years running. Only once was one of them vandalized. The '83 300SD's 3-pointed star hood ornament was stolen. That's 32 years and 380,000 miles with a lot of motel/hotel overnights. The guy with a "million miles and 30 years in Corvettes," probably doesn't do overnight travel very frequently.
I've had four Corvettes, only one was vandalized. I had two or three antennas bent on my first Corvette, a 1969 roadster. Always happened at night. Got to the point that I kept a spare at home.
Also, I parked the car at an upscale restaurant, did not use the valet service. Someone tried to turn off the alarm with a paper clip or similar device. They didn't succeed. Wouldn't have done them any good, that car had a gasoline shutoff valve. It would let you go about half a block before running out of gas. Nothing like being in a stolen Vette, that's stone cold dead stalled on a main street.
Got my first taste of a real hater 2 days ago, I was cruising in the market where there's thousands of people hanging out, as the light turned green I started to turn left at the intersection at a creeping pace when I saw a bicycle going straight so I stopped. An old frumpy guy pedaled diagonally across the intersection to stop an inch from the bumper. I thought he was about to climb on the hood and purposefully damage something and yelled out I have all day and some more intelligible hate words. He was livid and probably a wacko, he had blocked off the whole intersection and cars were trying to avoid him. I tried to stay cool but all I wanted to do was step out and push him away. I stayed in the car as I bet I'd be the one who has a nice car to take whatever blame and end up a criminal record. So I waited and he kept on with the insults. After a minute he left.

Have had Corvettes in 45/46 of the lower 48. Generally take one long trip per year (4,500-6,000 miles) and many shorter trips.... just back yesterday (6/18/21) from an 1100 mile trip, all here in Texas.
And, how the hell could I amass 900,000+++ miles by NOT taking long trips?
When I first bought my car I parked it at a friends apartment condo overnight. I found hand prints on my rear quarter panel and a slightly used condom on the ground next to it. I laughed and said “damn right this is a sexy beast!” Later that night I wondered if they actually sodomized my car. Either way, at least he used a condom.
Any C7 owners experience a “key job” after parking at a public location?
My car was victim to this with its prior owner. Was fixed very nicely and hardly noticeable now.
What’s the experience of my fellow C7s ? Do you find your car more susceptible to vandalism?
Is this something you consider a more likely possibly simple because it’s a Corvette?
All of my previous red coupes had been victim of hate/jealousy crime - anywhere from being keyed, horked on, egged, full coffee cup thrown at it...the C7 hasn't been out that much as it is only two years old (fingers crossed).
This is the worst thing to happen to mine. Young kid threw some purple berries at the back window. Reminded me of my youth and some of the things I wish I never did.

It is not Corvettes that attract evil/stupid/mean people. It is that group of people that are attracted to crap on other folks stuff. It could be cars, trucks, houses, yards, pets, businesses, ....... It could be stealing stuff?
What kind of mind sits around thinking about how they can hurt someone else?

I think jealousy is the main issue. I may be due they aren't successful nor do they have the desire to have discipline to attain enough money to purchase nice things. They probably think we just happen to have money that crashed to earth like a meteor and we stumbled upon in or we are the authority type making money on top or their enslaved employees.
I talked to many people and they do not have the drive to go out to work hard and earn money. They then say they wish they could afford a Vette or a super car. One guy in particular wished he could buy a Vette so I suggested many ideas how to start making good money, he was negative about it!
Talked to another guy this week, he wanted to be his own boss and he opened a business but decided to purposefully charge less than what he made as an employee and chose to have run down tools, towing a trailer with a 4 cylinder car. He also cheats the system and government! He said he didn't want to get "rich", then he turned around jealous of how I ran my own thing....
I park my dd (2019 C7 GS) in my communal back yard here in Brooklyn and all my neighbors comment on how beautiful she is and that I'm gonna wash and wax the paint off her. I also have motion detecting lights and video camera set up in my back that blue-tooths to my PC and phone and a cruiser ready 12 gauge for any unwelcomed "visitors". Luckily I have not come across any haters when parked in public places. I know they're out there but in the year that Ive owned her I've only met admirers.
Usually some put their hand out the window and put a thumbs up but 2 weeks ago I'm pretty sure one guy stuck out his hand with a thumbs down. Hmmm strange.
The only ones who get that type of vandalism around my parts are 3 people: because of envy, to make a fake insurance claim and the *** hats who park in 2 spots. The third I cannot stand but keying is a little strong and I'd never do that to anyone.
