Default C7 outside mirror removal

Could someone describe how to remove the outside mirrors w/o removing door panels?

Thanks,
Dave K.

I agree as you have to get to nuts to remove to get the mirrors out and if I recall the passenger side was more of a bear to get to one of the three nuts that has to be removed.

How did this guy get from the top picture to the bottom picture? The post doesn't describe the process, but clearly, it was done.

There's a couple of screws on the black inner frame. Remove the inner cover to the right, remove the screws on the left, and slide the housing off.

You can remove the mirror housings without taking off the inner door panel. Swivel the mirror housings both ways to gain access to the outer torx screws. Clearance is very small so you’ll need to use a tiny wrench with a torx bit.

This is great info! I need to get the passenger side housing painted. This will save a bundle by just giving only the housing to the paint shop.

That is some great info for getting the thing off without pulling the door panel off. Robert
