Recently widebodied my c7 z51 and lowered it a lot by cutting the bushings. When I went to the dealer to get an alignment today they said it was too low to go on the alignment machine.
Has anyone else had a similar issue? Where could I go to get an alignment on my lowered C7?
Like here, Im sure there many specialty alignment shops in Texas. They will be able to handle it. The place I went to was flooded with exotics and has a great rep.
Some places have "blocks," or at the least some scraps of wood to facilitate such jobs. I've a hard time believing your car is the first such they've encountered. I'd suggest looking at their ramps and make your own blocks to take for them to use. If they won't cooperate simply go elsewhere. In all likelihood the dealership won't have the rear alignment tool, anyway. All the best.
Your gonna have to add adjustable rear toe links. You ain't getting the rear to happy tire wear without them.
This is what I installed. Not cheap.Nether are your tires. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/g...RoC8wMQAvD_BwE
Ohh,Ask them if they have a rear caster tool.If not...Run
I went to lexus to align the car, they had special ramps and also used some planks. If I ever I can't repair my own vehicle because I don't have the time or want to do major jobs anymore I hope lexus will let me bring it there. It's the most expensive place in the city but I was impressed with the care they took. GM dealers will never see my car after warrantee is up.

Will definitely check out those toe links. You think a dealer would / know how to adjust them properly? I don't know anything about suspension work so id be hesitant to adjust it myself.

Now that is an awesome setup. No need for any wood ramps there.
And and even better thing is the two square boxes in the middle of the ramps (front and rear) are hydraulic lifts (on a tract, you can slide them to wherever you need them to be) for the front and back of the car. You put it under the cross member and lift the front or rear to take wheels off if needed. It's a great Hunter set up.

My son (re)builds and races JDM iron for fun with a couple of his cars very, very low for track usage. He has found a couple of private shops that are equipped to work with cars lowered beyond factory specs. Sounds like a similar situation.
