I believe the Z51s have the fish too. They're both Stingrays. The GSes, Z06es, and of course the ZR1s are not (Stingrays.....)

Dunno why ppl remove em. Debadging the entire car including rear nameplate AND crossed flags, front and back included.. Might be the ricer-look rage. Dunno. Not my cup of tea.😉

$50 is reasonable, out in the Heartland. My coach manufacturer in the Midwest charged $60 an hour for repair work out of warranty just a few years ago. Not everyone is ripping others off @ $150+ an hour. 😉

Hey, for a body shop they could have them off in under 10 Mins. $50.00 for 10 min. is pretty good !

First thing I removed with fishing line and a little Goo-Gone. Personal choice and I know some people like them but I was not a fan of the image. Also had my fenders covered with XPEL so they needed to come off anyway.

I lived in Queens, NY (a borough of New York City) most of my life.

In ~1984, 37 YEARS ago, the Honda dealer near me charged $95/hr for labor OR whatever the "book" said for the repair, whichever was HIGHER !!!

And I bet what he fixed was done correctly and is probably STILL running to this day ! Just like my 1982 Toyoya here today ! OK so the frame rusted and split in half and I had to weld pieces of metal U up and down to get her back up right,

!!

Just taken this past winter !! Same engine, 160,000 miles never taken apart. I know that isn't much mileage, my 2016 Tundra Limited only has 5,500 miles on it.

I gave mine to my young granddaughter who thought they were great... after she painted them light blue with day-glo green and orange polka-dots. Really improved 'em as far as I'm concerned!

I removed mine, it was easy and just a quick wax wipe down in the area removed the tiny bit of gunk that remained. I think it just cleans up / de-clutters the fender. I switched to black emblems elsewhere... not a fan of chrome so they had to go.

You ain't lyin' !!!

Better watch it though. Skiddy doesn't like "off topic" anecdotes/posts even ones led in to by someone else.

And now we're talking guitars ?!?!?! Skiddy's gonna lose his mind !!!

The entertainment value of this site is priceless. Late Saturday night I logged in and saw the OP. Clicked to answer his question and noticed several already had, heat and fishing line. Logged in today and we're at 35 posts. Love you guys, you make my weekdays better. Much ado about nothing

It's worse if you count previous threads on the subject.

I'd guess 80% of the content around here is recycled. I stopped thinking of this place as database of knowledge and more like a chatroom or your local bar - everyone just chimes in... even when we all know the answer.

I would second heat and dental floss—worked great on my Audi logo. Little goo gone for residue.

Default No Fishing Line????

I used weed eater string to remove emblems from my wife's car. It worked fine with WD-40.
