[QUOTE=Kevin A Jones;1603586093]I assume you have much more justification for declaring this C7 a lemon than that you 'think' you experienced "it" (I'm assuming shudder) twice today.
Transmission failure at 5k miles makes it a lemon to me.
Last Monday I bought a 2018 Stingray with 5000 miles. Are the automatic transmissions so bad that I should trade it back to the dealer this Monday? If I hurry I can get my c6 back, I would appreciate every ones input.
Take it to the dealer and get the flush done, no cost to you. The C7's are great cars and the transmission issue if you have it is easily resolved.
I would never go back to a C6. Chevy Cobalt interior quality, and a total performance downgrade. Get the transmission triple flush done and get over it.
It’s far from a lemon, but you’ll never enjoy it if you can’t get ahold of this odd C7 hypochondria. And paying $12k to get your old car back? Screw that.
The OP started this post with his mind already made up. This isn't really a discussion or him soliciting advice...I think he wanted "confirmation" that we would agree his car was junk so that he could reinforce his position.
But yes, to the OP, you should see if you can return the car if you're still in the window where you can rescind the contract. If I understood your post in that unwinding this deal will cost you $11K however, I would advise you not to do that. The issue you're describing with the vehicle is not something that doesn't have a fix under warranty, so if you don't want to deal with it, I'm sure someone else will, and you can sell the car with full disclosure. Someone will pay you at or near what you spent, including another dealership, do the triple flush and then resell or enjoy the car. No reason to lose $11k here.
I get it though...he bought a new-to-him car, noticed a problem, went online and found a ton of threads about this, and it soured the whole experience. I once bought a used car that developed an expensive coolant leak shortly after I'd purchased it and although I had it fixed, I never really liked the car after that and ended up selling it.

You forgot one very important point, IMO, the C7 is a far better lookkng car both exterior and interior. and a far better handling car.
Today a C6 is a still a great car, I had one but it just looks dated back to the C5/C6 era generation. Keep the C7.

Thanks. Other than the instrument panel I love the interior. The interior is a big improvement over the c6. I have to disagree with you on the exterior styling. I have read enough now that will never trust the transmission. I can't be any reputable Chevrolet dealership would sale a c7 A8 without.doing a triple flush.

Sounds like you really want a manual. Trade it back for the C6 and hold out until you find a C7 manual.
Personally I would keep it and not think about it again for even a second, but from reading your posts your mind is already made up on trading it back, so I suggest doing that and getting old car back. I can feel your nervousness through my keyboard, its not worth keeping it if your going to be worried every time you drive it.
I agree. It truly amazes me that some reader(s) on CF will read of a problem or two that people post, and they immediately think that the problem is with every car.
The OP apparently does not want to hear the facts and is convinced he got a lemon. Net result by not getting a triple flush is he will not have a C7 and he is out 11k. His loss.

I think you are making too much of a big deal with the A8. I've had a C7 almost 4 years and have never experienced problems. I think if you like the color, the car has a clean record and the equipment you want, keep it.
BTW, I disagree about exterior styling. The C7 is a beautiful car. To me, the easily corrected chrome brace in the front grill of a stingray is the only awful part of its design. Looks like a orthodontist designed it.
