I am a member of a car club. As usual, cliques form and my wife and I gravitated to 3 other couples in the club. We all 4 have C7s 2014 - 2017. I have the 2014. All 3 of my friends have had the A8 shudder and some have been multiple times to the dealer for the flush. Not until the Blue bottle by Mobil 1 has the problem been cleared. All 3 of my friends now have the latest flush in their cars and the cars are running great.
I'm not saying this problem is wide spread but damn, 3 guys with the same problem in different year cars. My A6 is working just fine thank you.
Keep the car & get the flush. Otherwise go for the Mustang. It's not the dealer's fault the transmission fluid in the car is contaminated with moisture.

Thanks. I think this is the best answer to my question. Three guys with different year cars about sum it up. I wouldn't wish a Mustang on an enemy.
I agree. It truly amazes me that some reader(s) on CF will read of a problem or two that people post, and they immediately think that the problem is with every car.
I do not even understand why he posted question, he wanted to trade the car back from the very beginning, every post is the same: its a lemon, its awful, A8 is trash, etc. Then take the car back if its so terrible. The C7 is light years ahead of the C6, I'd never go back and nothing wrong with the trans, and those that have a 'slight' issue can be fixed under warranty. I just do not get it.
I also don't see how he's taking a hit when he said he can take it back and get his C6 back, so where is the issue?
buyer's remorse. Sounds like you don't want the car and you are trying to find a way to talk yourself out of it.
If your heart is not in it, go get your C6 back....
Richard, tomorrow is Monday and you can take her back. Though, I'm having fun with my C7, 14k miles with the Range device and no problems. Good luck in whatever you decide.
Get rid of it get your C6 back and let someone else enjoy that C7 who will appreciate it! By the way I have a 2017 C7 Z06 A8 and it has been flawless so far and it is the best Corvette I have ever owned out of the 13 I have owned! Honestly Good Luck with the C6!

Okay. I will ask, didn't you do your research before buying this vehicle? Plenty of info right here om this forum. Not being critical just exercising my common sense.
"I just came back from a drive in the car. I really don't like the car. And with transmission failure it needs to go." Sorry here folks but this sounds disingenuous at best. Trolling at worst.
Seriously? Is it a problem now, with your car you are asking about? Do you have a clue how many haven't had issues? Sure it's something of a crap shoot... that's called "LIFE." Live with it and drive on. Enjoy your C7!
Not because the shudder can't be fixed, it can, not because it may have been a fine deal BUT the IDEA of the potential of things going wrong, you will own it with a constant concern that something else might go wrong, that you're on the short end of this deal. Its now a psychological mistake more than anything else and will cause you undue buyer's anxiety. If you can realize this and dismiss your concerns, it's probably okay but if this continues to overshadow the thrill pleasure of owning it, return it.......
