It didn’t last. Came loose again pretty quick. I had the side on jack stands and only one of my hands at a certain angle fit into that window with the inner wheel well off. I am going to take the fender and windshield washer fluid tank off for more access. I thought some of the tabs must be damaged since it wouldn’t spin in.
I have never seen a wheel well liner with so many fasteners lol.
Have you checked the clutch return spring? I had that fail on a couple cars over the years....unusual I know, but that's what happened....
Completely unnecessary on these cars. The spring ok the pedal is not to push the pedal back. Many people get rid of it entirely because they don't like the feel.

thanks for the pictures.
Some instructions at the beginning of this thread that may help. If you just want to check if it is tight rotate it COUNTER-CLOCKWISE until the hose going to the reservoir is at the 12:00 position. It is plastic so be careful and don't break it by overtightening. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-r-and-r.html
Thanks. That is helpful. I cannot really see the front side of the master cylinder but it won’t lock in all the way. I am assuming it be off the clips or misshapen or broken. I was under the assumption you had to remove the fender to take out the washer fluid tank. Maybe I will look at that a little closer.

You do not have to remove the fender however I spent forever trying to get the tank out (and back in). You'd spend 95% of your time just getting to the master with the majority of that getting the washer tank out and back in. I'm sure if the fender were off (I was not willing to do that) it would be way easier.
Just so you know, with it fully exposed I still couldn't completely tighten it by hand, I had to use some channel locks to "ever so slightly" tighten it the last bit. Oh, and if you wan the rubber grommet to actually get seated properly that makes it even harder. I hope to hell I never have to do that again. I was not near as hard on my old C5.
Did you use the channel locks on the inside or engine side. I tried to use them on the inside with no like. Space was too tight on engine side and was almost too tight on the inside.

Just a heads up. Got it changed out. Couldn’t get anything on the engine side. Got it started. Used need nose vise grips and was able to lock it into place from the clutch pedal side.

You must be rather thin to fit under the dash to get at it like that. 😉👍🏻
