I am likely going to be changing my battery shortly and was wondering how much it will affect the cars memory, as far as the memory seats, radio stations, and other items.
For those looking to replace your C7 battery, here is an attractive alternative to the OEM AC Delco battery; the Energizer AGM battery from Costco (Canada) or Interstate AGM (Costco USA). Here is a very helpful video on the installation:
Besides being superior to the OEM battery, this AGM battery is much easier to work with. The Energizer has built-in handles which facilitates lifting in and out. Worth noting is the rubber venting hose which fits into the side of the battery and exits at the battery compartment floor. It should be removed from the battery prior to lifting the battery. It has a right angle elbow which is easily broken. (I know).
Costco gives you $10 for returning the old battery.
It will lose absolutlely nothing except the index of the windows. All radio, seat location, whatever will be retained.

Window Indexing and
Express-Up Reset
Window indexing may be required if
the vehicle battery has been
recharged or disconnected, or is not
working. Express-up and the
convertible top will not function until
the windows are reset. After battery
power is restored, a message or
code displays in the Driver
Information Center. See Driver
Information Center (DIC) on
page 5-23.
Once power is restored:
1. Close the doors.
2. Start the vehicle.
3. Hold the window switch up to the
fully closed position.

I watched this video on YouTube a few days ago and I noticed he never mentioned disconnecting the vent hose or reconnection it. Only mentioned the white cap and the piece that goes to the hose.
You do not signify if it is a convertible or not. If it is a convertible, take the carpet completely out and your job will be much easier.
As I mentioned in another thread, I have stuck with the AC Delco through a C4, C6, and C7 with no problems. I replaced the battery in the C4 twice, in 18 years. It had 84,000+ miles on it, when I sold it.
typically there isnt any vent tube on a agm battery since its a sealed unit. cant ad water or vent. I just installed a interstate agm battery in my z06 no vent tube or place for one

Same here, with the OEM type Delco typically lasting 6-7+ years in a C7 at a very reasonable price, don't really understand changing to AGM, especially considering issues associated with some.

I have had the battery out of my 2015, 2LT, Z51, M7 Corvette twice. Last time was last Friday. Both times the battery was out of car at least 24 hours. Neither time did I lose anything but the radio lost the channel it was on, didn’t lose presets or window indexing. I’ve heard you have to redo everything and the manual tells you how, but I didn’t have to. Good luck!
I replaced mine this weekend. Everything was saved and I even had instruction on the DIC to index the windows. Ended up with a Diehard. Could not fine the AC Delco anywhere including the Chevy dealer.
I would however love to sit down and talk to the design engineer that thought that the location and access to the battery was a good idea. Seems to me it would have been nice to make it an access panel like the storage compartment on the driver's side directly across from the battery location.

Do I detect a tone of displeasure in your comment about GM engineering? 'Tis a bit of a bother to replace the battery for sure.
1 Thing I will recommend, be sure to disconnect elbow breather from battery, many break that thing off trying to get battery out.. it is a pain. I used soft tie down extensions as handles.
Just a reminder that the stock battery has a folded down handle that is kind of hidden. Using the handle makes it a lot easier to remove.
I'm still not convinced that the AGM battery replacement is the best choice. That is the recommended replacement and what I used. I'm sure that the charging voltage is higher and stays higher than it was for the original "flooded" cell battery. I've seen numbers as high as 15 volts and never saw that on the original. I'm hoping that that increased voltage is not going to prematurely age the battery. If you google charging an AGM battery vs a flooded cell battery, you will find that many sites say the two types of batteries need different chargers because of the different design configurations. Time will tell.
Like I said, the handle is not obvious. When I brought the old battery to the store for recyling I pulled the battery out of my car with my rubber strap that attaches to the posts and set it down and took the strap off. The store employee then reached down, pulled up the handle(s) and walked away with it. Sure surprised me.
That right there is the only reason I did not go OEM battery because no fold down handle . It's just to hard to pull and install a battery with out a handle for me
