Dave, I just have one last question, I was about to order wiring harness however the part was listed as another vehicle, did you experience the same result? GM# 24298757 was for vehicle

Cant answer your question as to why its pulling that truck . What i can tell you is here is the part number on the box for the part i installed ... make sure you take pictures before you remive the old one . The wires on my old one were all discolored so I had to figure out what went where... if you need a picture let me know
