Default telescopic steering wheel

Does anyone have instructions or a video on how to remove and replace the telescopic motor from the steering wheel on a c-7?
It looks like a bear to change out. Don't really want to go to the dealer unless I have to.. Help!!!

Thanks, Dave

Are you sure the motor is bad; or possibly there is a faulty electrical connection. My thought is to verify all the electronics first before moving to replace the motor.

You're right; the motor would be a bear to remove. I'm sure the steering column would have to come out first.

Yeah, It would be quite the job. Hope it is something much less complicated to fix. If you do run into some guidance on how to remove the motor, please post it up.

Great to include those diagrams @raisinjack Dave, if you use these diagrams, ignore the top 3/4 of that first page. You do not need to remove the "steering wheel spoke cover" to replace the telescoping motor. Just clarifying because I tried to remove that spoke cover from a used steering wheel I replaced and it's super thin and bends very easily. I ruined the spoke cover trying to remove it - hope I never have a need to actually do that. Guess destroying it would be ok if your intent was to replace the spoke cover.

And Dave, here's your chance to make a YouTube video for the rest of us
