Its a 2014 m7 coupe 4 button remote. I was expecting #22779879 and they sent a #23465950. Evidently the 9879 is an old #. At least that's what the label on the package says.

I really think the package is incorrect. Look inside of the FOB. Please do this and confirm the part number. If they have changed the part number, I'd like to know that so I can update my records.

TIA

For anyone who wants to try programming it will be a test of your patience. I bought a new fob for my 19 and programmed it myself. It was one of those things where I went through the process 3 times doing it exactly the same each time. After 2 tries I was getting worried. But the 3rd try it worked. Why? I have no idea but I now have an extra working fob.

Not fully functional or do you have all 3 keys working? I thought can only make 2 full functionality keys for the memory functions?

If that is the case, then they have changed the part number for the 2014-15 FOB to 5950. I will update my records to reflect that change.

I now wonder if they have done an update on the other FOB numbers too?

Thanks

Elmer

Your Grammar Police at Work:

The C7 has both a fob (remote keyless entry- RKE) that must be electronically matched with the car, and a mechanical key that must be physically cut and only will unlock the trunk slot and glove box. We have three fobs that all will unlock/start our 2017 2LT, but only the first two will work the memory seats etc. We also have three mechanical keys that are fully interchangeable, all work in either slot.

Crap. I was hoping he had found a way to get memory functions working on ALL 3 keys.
