Used a reach tool to get the inside windshield in my corvette cleaned and found out that I f****d up the dash in the process. Any help would be appreciated.
in the first two photos your looking at the scratches through my windshield from the outside. This is the dash right at the edge of the windshield.
Check out a vinyl pro shop. They will be able to repair it and you will not be able to see it at all. I have a Lund Tyee boat and the seats had some a couple tears and they fixed them and you could not tell they were torn at all.
From what I have seen, the dash has to come out for the repair.
I took my passenger door panel off to adjust the window. It was slightly low on the front for some reason.
When all the clips finally let go, the panel slipped out of my hand and scraped the concrete on the right bottom edge.
It was not very noticeable but I knew it was there.
I called a local mobile vinyl repair company and for $100 it was back as new.
Now to my point. The tech that came out had to have some room to work to apply the coatings and mix the color.
They use a heat gun between applications. First thing he asked when i called if the tear was close to glass.
They will not fix it close to glass. IMHO ,your dash has to come out for any repairs.
Good luck. Call a vinyl and leather repair guys. They do wonders. But be prepared for them to walk away because the damage is near the windshield.

In that case I would think windshield removal would be a less expensive and intrusive option? I have an use one of those cleaner tools the OP used - I'll have to make sure to be careful with it.
