Default Leather Scratches / Gouges, HELP

Any tips or tricks to get these gouges out ?

Used a reach tool to get the inside windshield in my corvette cleaned and found out that I f****d up the dash in the process. Any help would be appreciated.

in the first two photos your looking at the scratches through my windshield from the outside. This is the dash right at the edge of the windshield.

Find a vendor that fixes interior blemishes for local dealers - those guys can do wonders when it comes to fixing mistakes.

Good advice! I had a guy at the Thousand Oaks Auto Mall make 16 rock chips disappear on my C4. His guys blended the paint.

I was thinking of using one of those tools instead of my fingers but didn't know it could cause damage. Thanks for the warning.

Does anyone know if the top part of the dash (see screenshot - red arrow) is its own part # ? or is it all part of the instrument panel ? This diagram #5 throws me off.

The red arrow is the part I scratched up with the cleaining tool.

Also been thinking, just cover that part in anti glare suede like they do in the racing world. this is the stuff

Check out a vinyl pro shop. They will be able to repair it and you will not be able to see it at all. I have a Lund Tyee boat and the seats had some a couple tears and they fixed them and you could not tell they were torn at all.

From what I have seen, the dash has to come out for the repair.
I took my passenger door panel off to adjust the window. It was slightly low on the front for some reason.
When all the clips finally let go, the panel slipped out of my hand and scraped the concrete on the right bottom edge.
It was not very noticeable but I knew it was there.
I called a local mobile vinyl repair company and for $100 it was back as new.

Now to my point. The tech that came out had to have some room to work to apply the coatings and mix the color.
They use a heat gun between applications. First thing he asked when i called if the tear was close to glass.
They will not fix it close to glass. IMHO ,your dash has to come out for any repairs.
Good luck. Call a vinyl and leather repair guys. They do wonders. But be prepared for them to walk away because the damage is near the windshield.

It is tough to get your fingers in there to try to clean the glass for sure

In that case I would think windshield removal would be a less expensive and intrusive option? I have an use one of those cleaner tools the OP used - I'll have to make sure to be careful with it.
