Of all the dealers, I'd trust Carmax the most. The last used corvette I bought was 2019 Grand Sport with only 3000 miles from MacMulkin. That was an awesome experience as you would expect but it was practically a brand new car so no issues were to be expected. Carmax has a great rep.

What made the experience awesome? Back in the day, you tell the guy what you are looking for and he shows you the right cars. Each time I have gone lately, I already know what I want because I have done my research so I am calling on him because I know he has what I want. Fun fact, back in 91, I bought my first and last new car. I knew more about the options than the salesman. I'd already have financing laid out but just in case, I listen to them and compare what they have. Sure, Carmax gives you the yellow ribbon picture but I really don't want the pictures so not a big plus. What I like about Carmax is that the deal is the deal. Take it or walk. It used to be fun but the back and forth with me and the salesman is getting pretty old. There are only so many times you can watch the comedy where he has to go talk to his manager and they pretend to discuss it and come back with a counteroffer or their "last best offer". I used to have to cut them short by saying "I don't care what you give me for the trade in. We negotiate on the final price." but at this point, I just want out of there one way or the other. If I don't like it or it fails PDI, I can return it.
