To quote the line in the movie John Wick 4, how you do something is how you do everything. Problem is there is one of you and 100000 of the foreman these days. That said, business is run off numbers not personal work ethic.
I agree, but that doesn't stop me from doing what is right. Or at least trying. I totally understand your point though, but in the end just because others have faulty thought patterns doesn't mean I have to be a sheep and have them too.

I don't care about whether it is right or wrong. I care about NOT cutting the nose to spite the face. I will do my job as best as I can because I don't want to develop a bad habit here and spread it to other facets and my personal life. That said, I know what you are so I manage my expectations accordingly. In this case, I shop the best deal for what I want because I know what the people are. I am not going to be loyal to them because I know what their MO is. I'm not going to be, for example, married to a brand or even a dealer. I want something and the best deal gets it whether it is the guy up the street or 500 miles away once the numbers are all crunched.
I'm very fortunate to have both a C7 & C8 and IMO they're both fantastic cars. I've put 13K miles on the '16 since buying it two years ago and haven't had one single issue but I did have the triple flush done when I bought the car with 3K miles. Z-51 convertible without magride.
I've owned the '23 for 14 months now, 12K miles and again no issues at all. It's a non Z-51 but does have magride, and when it's set to Sport that thing carves corners like it's a huge slot car, but as we all know the C7 is no slouch either but you can definitely tell the difference in how both handle. Yes the storage space isn't as much as the C7 but for me personally that's the only drawback if you can even call it that.
I think many (if not most) car forums are where a lot of people go to note the negative issues they've had and to ask advice from others that have had something similar. If I was forced to choose between the two it'd be a very hard choice because no matter what I'd keep I know I'd miss the other one. I've always wondered how many of the really vocal C8 critics have never driven one. I think if they did they'd be pleasantly surprised.

If you insist on it being front engine because that was how it always was or it looks similar to a euro sports car, no amount of driving will make it a pleasant surprise.

You're probably right about that which I hadn't considered.

I'm not sure where this has gone, but my first comment was that GM clearly missed an opportunity to fix the transmission problem. Every C8 owner with tranny problems will agree. I understand how engineering and money works, but that wasn't my point. See above. I have zero problem with how you think. I don't care. It doesn't affect me. You're old enough, I'm sure, to manage your own opinions, and I'm not attacking your opinion. Why would I care to, over a dumb topic. I agree about brand loyalty. I don't care as long as I like what I'm buying. I would just hope that after spending tens of thousands of dollars that it works well.

My point is that I expect them to shaft me if it makes them a dollar more today. I don't operate that way in my personal life but I have to expect that people in general will. The day of caring for the business small or big is over

Thanks for the explanation. I would have a hard time NOT agreeing with you. That's why when you find a truly honest business or person, it's a happy miracle.

You find such a person, hang on to to them like your life depends on it.
