May want to contact MVI for OEM options and if they are available for a 2014. they specialize in Android auto/Apple car play and Nav but they may have answers.

I added a camera using Navtool. The video displays on the front NAV screen. It turns on automatically if you put it in reverse and then 1st or Drive. It will turn off around 9 miles an hour. You can manually turn it on and it will stay on until you manually turn it off. That's the only system I am familiar with, others may have different options. I've had it running since 2016. Replaced the camera once but the Navtool has performed without a problem.

I'm with Elmer, I installed a front camera using NavTool. Has worked flawlessly since install, about two years. I just removed the HMI on Tuesday of this week and sent it back to NavTool and they are going to reprogram it to include Apple CarPlay.

Since a 2014 did not come with a front camera, a product like Navtool is a good option.

I have a 2015, I would love to add a front camera and AppleCarplay. Look at NavTool, how hard was the install and what additional items did you need? I would appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thanks!

The instructions in the link are for a 2016 version of the product. This is 2024. There might be a little variance but the gist of the install probably still works. I'd imagine there are NEW installation instructions on their site.
