Default Replace power mirror switch

I think I’ve seen this here before but I haven’t been able to find out how to remove the switch that moves the power mirror. Looks like the panel can be removed but I want to make sure I don’t break anything in the process.

2019 1LT with switch mounted on left side of dash. (See pic)

Thanks for any help!

Thought somebody would have done this before.

Maybe I posted in the wrong forum?

Check this discussion out about the HUD switch panel removal. Could not find discussion about the mirror switch.

Thank you very much! I don’t have the HUD so would never have thought to search that way. This should work.

Ill take some pics and post for future use as soon as I can get to it.

I purchased a new switch on eBay for $18. It fit and worked perfectly and the install was easy.

Simply pull out the top of the panel the switch is attached to. The panel has “hooks” on the bottom edge so you just lift the panel out and you can access the switch.

Pull the wire connector off the switch (there is a release tab at the top of the connector that needs to be pressed down to release the connector)and you can take the panel out to work on it. There are 2 tabs on each side of the switch that need to be pressed in to release the switch.

Remove the old switch and pop in the new switch. Plug the wire connector/harness into the back of the switch, put the bottom edge of the panel in place then rotate the top back into position and press the 2 metal tabs back in place.

The entire job took about 10 minutes.

Good job replacing the switch. Nice when you can save some bucks and do a DIY repair.
