I would think that 335's on the rear would definitely make a difference. You basically have tires set up to handle Z06 power without actually having 650 hp/tq.
Precisely. We all love our 'vettes though, certainly didn't mean to say one is better than another in an absolute sense. When I did my pre-purchase corvette research, including test-driving multiple C6 and C7's, one C7 GS, plus a 2022 C8, I landed in the spot that I wanted a manual C7 and that the C7 GS was best built to match its powerplant for my driving.

I've already mentioned the ride quality has somewhat improved. I lucked into a day where the temp was almost the same as my original experience, the mid 60's.
I was on the same stretch of road at about the same time of day. When I hit it hard after the 1-2 shift the car still struggled to find traction, but the rear didn't jump sideways like previously.
My totally unscientific conclusion. The Z51, M7 with 3:42 ratio: Traction is definitely hard to come by, but to probably no one's surprise, new tires are considerably better than 10 y/o tires.
Went out today in my GS with Pilot Sport tires. The temperature was in the upper 50s. In Sport mode and a 2nd gear shift and it went sideways. Guess that's why they call them 'Summer" tires.
The day the back of my C7 came around it put the fear of God in me. As others I grew up with muscle cars but noting could prepare you for that . I took it home and parked it
