Default 2014 dash problem

Has anyone else experienced a separation of the front of the dash from the windshield...the dreaded dash problem on C7's when left out in the heat

I have a 2014 that I bought with some of the dash peeling up around the defroster vent, and a little by one speaker. Mine isn’t bad, I mean yes it’s obviously pulled up in a place or two. But our options are syringes with glue or dash replacement. And since they don’t make them anymore.

Sometimes they pop up on eBay. But then you need to match the stitching. And as far as swapping a 2lt dash in. Most people I’ve talked to with 3LT don’t like the idea of a leather mis match.

As for my car, I’m leaving mine alone, it’s a nice example and I can’t see the issue with my 3lt dash from where the driver seat is, you mostly see it when walking around the garage looking through the windshield down.

Are you attempting to fix yours or replace your dash?

GM had their supplier fix it in later C7 years but it wasn’t really addressed until at least I think late 2017, but basically the fix was more leather and then stapled better. If you can source a newer dash you’d wanna look for one with some staples around the defroster vent inside.

Im living with mine and don’t plan on addressing it as I’ll most likely grab a Z06 one day. But even if I keep my car I’ll still leave it be.

My 2014 has a little delamination but nothing like the one shown in the photo.

Thankfully my 2014 2LT optioned car has no dash delamination Sadly the 3LT package suffered from that problem.

Here’s a picture of mine, 14’ Z51 3LT Adrenaline Red interior. This is the looking down angle I mean, again it’s not visible from driver seat so idc.

Personally if I was going to fix mine, and I’m not, but if I was, I’d have my eyes on eBay like a hawk for a newer dashboard, and scoop it up as soon as I saw it. I’ve seen all kinds on there, used and new, some with red blue kalahari, white etc stitching. They’re out there for the person that wants to swap a new one in.

Im just fine with seeing it through the windshield when walking around the garage.
