Not me. Mine fills up just fine with the nozzle in the normal position.

Gas nozzle goes in normally. I do need a really long funnel for adding Stabil.

I had to do that once or twice because the pump kept shutting off. I think it was just a faulty nozzle. Another option is to hold it "on" by squeezing very gently on the handle. The fuel will flow a tad more slowly, but it won't shut off prematurely. Just listen for the change in the sound when the tank is almost full - and then you'll be good to go.

The older the pumps look the more likely I'll have to do this it seems. I try to avoid those pumps when I have a choice.

I'm not certain, but I always felt this was due to the sensitivity of the nozzle (poor maintenance), and vapor recovery system on the pump, if there is such a thing. But not your car's problem.

Mine fills normally.

Looks like your car has the optional Australian fuel filling inlet system.

I don't remember what gas station that I had to pump really slow to keep the pumping from stopping but I've never pumped upside down.

Now that I go to Costco for gas, it has not been an issue at all.

No. Not anymore. Neighborhood Sam's gas station just renovated and expanded the facility and new pump nozzle is working just fine. No more upside down.
