Most were 3” ID to 3.15” ID which likely would work but you’ll have a 0.0125” gap all way around.
You're overthinking this WAY too much....have you used a lap style band clamp and have you measured out 0.0125"? That is SO minor when it comes to exhaust pipe. Hell your pipe expand/contract more than that just driving the car.

Everything is sold as "nominals". A 3" slip fit joint will have the male pipe be ~3" OD while the female is flared to accept a ~3" OD pipe...what the exact ID/OD is on the pipe depends on the manufacturer and their tolerances/quality.

It’s bigger difference than you think. This joint might not have much play in it anyway so it might
not matter but my experience with bands on the xpipe to axle pipe connection required an exact match. Could have been any number of variables but that small gap I had in my connection allowed the axle pipes to slide out.

friend of mine just installed these on his car. there was a small hole where the slip fit piece and the header come together. a 2" band clamp solved the issue no leaks

@9sec i know you’re catless, What xpipe did your buddy use? I’m very concerned about going full catless. Getting high flows welded on my current xpipe starts to negate the price advantage of these headers. I’d consider going back to factory xpipe if it flows well enough with heads/cam.

he is also catless im n to sure what the brand is . I initially ran eos catless downpipes and catless mid pipe . prior toilet that I ran the oem mid pipe with the catless downpipes and flow didnt seem to suffer. the nice thing about the eos headers is if you dont like the full catless sound or smell then oem pipe bolts right up to them . same flanges as oem

My EOS headers are showing up tomorrow. This is my plan to run full catless and if it smells too bad to use the stock midpipe.

I may even be able to get some dyno runs done between the two midpipes as time goes on. Less than 10hp loss I don’t care if it kills the smell. I’ll make up for it going E85 lol

Agree 100%. Smell just isn’t worth it. Wife and kid will never ride with me if that was the case.

@9sec how much oil did you lose when popping off the dry sump lines? I don't plan on draining the oil since I don't need an oil change. Just being prepared for how much oil to catch.

FWIW, car has been sitting on a lift for couple weeks.

I did but then had to go out of town. They look nice and have a merge spike.

@9sec in this picture below, was this with the header bolted up and the connection at the midpipe tight? Was there this "gap" there like the extensions needed to slide on the header more? But couldn't because it was tight to the midpipe? It's like the header needed about 1" more welded to it.

I saw this on mine as well. a 3" band clamp will cover it and keep fumes from coming in to the cabin but I opted to mark both pipes clamp it and have my welder cut out the expanded short piece and weld in a straight section. eliminates and chance of fumes and eliminates a set of clamps

Ahhh got ya, that was actually YOUR photo lol. I'll grab some 3" lap style band clamps and see how it seals.
