I love a good round-about as well, but not all are created equal........They are a new thing here, at least 6 in the past year. I don't understand those that DON'T know how to navigate one Have you ever driving around a downtown square??? It's the same damn thing, just on a smaller scale..........Yield mean just that, YIELD!! Not come to a completed stop and sit there
Sorry, off my soapbox........If a round-about is clear of all traffic, I don't see someone walking their dog around it, I admit I will go into F1 driving mode in the Vette
OH MAN. Stopping at a roundabout is common here too, as well as EVERY YIELD sign. OK, I am glad I am not the only one who needs to rant a bit at that....
I was in Iceland a few years ago, and almost never saw a STOP sign. They were all yield signs, and Icelanders handle roundabouts like they were choreographed. They just flow. If someone jumps a bit into it when they shouldn't, the car to the left just slows and generally doesn't make a big deal about it. Its fascinating to watch in action when it works.
As far as running them HOT, I have a double wide double set over the freeway near my house, and when it's clear, oh yeah it's fun.... 🏁
