l feel that it was tuned.

If you’re referring to the Range Device,(which keeps the engine in V8 mode), it doesn’t plug into the steering column. Check your OBD plug in port on the left side of the driver’s footwell.
I have a port on both sides of the steering wheel column. I have the range device but it’s not
plugged into either side.
My engine stays in 8 cylinders all the time.with no plug in.
My window sticker notes Npp plus mag ride and PDR plus other options
There is no port on the left side of the steering column. The port on the right side is to insert the fob to start the car if the fob battery is dead. Range device plugs into the OBD port under the dash.
How do you know you have a Range device and how do you know it’s always in V8 mode?
Range device GTMOTOR also attached topdown. Tech window valet.
the port on the right hand side correct)and a multi pin connector on the left side which is the OBD
I was told on the main screen should have a V8 showing but when stopped it changes to V4
I assume you’re asking why the car stays in V8 mode? If so, the answer is Yes. The Range device or a tune will do that. But without prior knowledge of the cars mx history, I’m not sure how to determine that a tune has been performed.
