How do you know it stays in 8cyl. all the time if the gauges don't show it? I had mine tuned out and I still can see which mode it is in. Switch to econ mode and you will see it.

If you switch to the right screen, the gauge cluster will display it.

Sounds like a chinese copy of a Range device. How can it be plugged into a window valet but not the OBD port? Even then, it won't remove the V8 indicator from the dash.

Piggy back or splitter for the OBD port maybe?
